Should I fly to Colorado just to get a few keepers?

no never start from a clone. why ? because. people that usually sell clones usually don't grow a final product. why ? because they over cloned the plants never kept the mommy plants, and the genetics are lost, so when you get the clone and flower or worse use it for a mommy the genetics are really lost. you will grow more leafs to bud ration no potency at all. cloned out. a pro grower will pop a few or 100 seeds lol and keep some moms around to chop clones off them . so you always have a second generation bud. any over 1 reclown you do lose every thing. 3 and 4 more noticeable. 10 or 15 your growing weed from the 1950s buy seeds do it correct.

Wow thats quite a claim...

Care to explain?

Ok so here is the deal, I am a very very picky person in regards to the specific strain/pheno I'm looking for. So when I say that I have popped 50 beans it's an understatement. I've lost count on how many I've ran. Literally only one was up to standard to be called a "keeper" and even that is not up to my full standards. I'm looking for the same quality I have seen in Sonoma and when I was visiting a friend right outside of Denver. And let me tell you if they are here in michigan the people who have them are charging an arm and a leg. Like a real body part. And I have morals. The medicinal is more important than the money..at least to me. I see I'm ranting now, with that said here is a small list of the beans I remember..please take into consideration that I am picky and looking for something that is the best of the best
DNA-holy grail kush-I ran this and kept 2 phenos originally but have since limited it to just the one and only true keeper. It is ogish with a minimal expansion on the lungs and leaves you dazed but not for as long as I prefer but it will do.
DNA-cataract kush-she grew tall and had arms that didn't match my canopy and overall every pheno was not my style. I can't explain the hope and issues I had with this strain. My first 10 beans though, so forever in my heart will I be connected to this strain. My non kush haze loving friends like one of these phenos.
Let me just say that when I started my search I grabbed 6 different 10 packs from CC(some reg some fem) I don't remember.....
Cali Connection-Larry OG-got one that I thought was a maybe keeper. Ended up I didn't like it that much. It was good I guess. I let 3 friends have the pheno I kept and it is a keeper for them. Again I have higher standards and a specific type I'm looking for. So I guess the Larry technically is good to most.
CC-black water-I tried this in soil and in a current culture and it's a great strain for an under current or just hydro in general due to a nice yield. I myself am not looking for yield. I can maximize most strains so I'm looking for what I would call "the best". Yes I am a snob people.
CC-deadhead OG-ready for this one. I was so suspect cause the picture on attitude looked like it was a herm and I've heard nightmares from others but it turns out that minus a og type smell I am looking for it was one of my favorite plants to grow. It was exactly what I want as far as it being compacted tight nuggets. Just no mountain killer stench that every head loves so I once again let it go. And again a friend says it's his best strain. I 100% will start another project on this one though.
CC-Corleone kush-yea more like fruity kush with no real texture. Overall I did not like. She took more nutes than most and it was not a smell I was looking for. It did grow nice and the arms as I remember had great holding power.
CC-818 headband-this one is a disappointment because a close friend of mine did a pheno project on this and he found a great keeper. It was when I first started and when he gave me a clone it had mites mites mites. Did I mention he tried ruining my life with mites. So I had to kill her. I do have a 10 pack of some but they will have to wait in line. I'm running ogr wifi and loud headband first.
CC-Julius Caeser-this reminded me a lot like the corleone but it was fruity to me. And I'm not looking for anything fruity. I believe the corleone and jC both didn't have many females. Cali connection def disappointed me but I swear I'm gonna give them another try because too many people have said they found keepers from them although I've also heard many negatives.
Barneys-Red Dragon-had 8 diff phenos. Overall I liked them but again they didn't have that star power to be called "keeper". The truth is they all grew nice. They almost doubled when I flipped them and never had any issues. They always reacted to waterings very well. I'd say if the CC deadhead had the scent of one of these phenos if would of been a keeper. Note that the reason I even did this project was because a friend gave me a clone and I some how lost the darn strain. So I had to find him a good pheno to make up for it. Long days and nights when red dragon is thought of.
G13-OG13-this is obviously just my opinion but there is nothing OG about this damn strain.
G13-PineApple Express-so here's the deal with this short stout growing beast. Every person liked this but me. It was haze like and reminded me of 200-2005. I was looking for more of a 2012-2013 type strain if that even makes sense. So I would actually refer this strain to certain people depending on their likes. It's also a larger yielder.
Reserva Privada-OG and OG18-so I heard from a zillion people this was the type of strain I was looking for. Not at all. I was disappointed by 20 yes 20 beans of the 18 and 10 of the og. Man I was alsways in between what I was looking for. Keep in mind I'm a snob who is too picky. I never got the full thing. One smelled great but lacked texture and lung expansion. Others expanded like crazy but didn't taste good and some had good and bad textures. I goto sleep every night considering running 50 beans of each because I think there is a real deal pheno of these. I mean there has to be right? But then I just fall asleep lol.
I also ran TGA sub cool which is highly available around in michigan. I don't remember all the names. They were all the same. The best one was the jesus og but even that was no where near what I was looking for. I think most of TGA beans are crossed or pollinated with the same strain because they all grow very similar. Now while I'm ripping this company my friends way up 75 praise them so again you have too remember I'm a snob but then again this post is in the Colorado section of RIU so I'm sure you all understand.
Okay so I'm very sorry for the length of this post but I saw the attention my original post garnered and I wanted to let you guys know my experiences. I have journals starting in the michigan forum very soon on raskals wifi, loud headband, and ggg lemon puff. Happy growing Colorado!!!!!

mail your self the cuts from colorado upside down in a 2 liter rockwool duct tape ect... its how we send them all over the world.. 2-3 days seems ok overnight is best.
i have no data yet to back up my info about returning vigour from outdoor cloning but i am working on it ATM . with any cut of any plant i view it as what it is not what it can be. a viney plant is what it is a short stocky one and so on. outside i see more plant materal so choices to find vigourous cuts abound. just avoid mutated sports or not just label for all our sakes...
