You're in a fabric pot, don't need stakes, staples, or anything more than a box of paper clips. Insane? Maybe. Straighten a clip out except for 1 90° turn push that through the top rim of your pot if it is not long enough? straighten another one twist it into the first and then bent the wire where you want to pull your girl down. improv, don't look great but it will work.

Shape it with LST ( as stated ) and you will be able to get more uniformity.

No need to do that. LST will produce 20xs the amount of colas that you can get from topping without stressing the plant heavily.
I personally only top once. If at all.

I used paper clips this past summer. Easy, cheap, and didn't cause any damage.
If you zoom in you can see paperclips all throughout that plant.
It was like a spiderweb by the time I was done. Lol
