jus moved to a new place, single house so nobody on top or underneath me- pretty
stoked cause i don't have to worry as much anymore :)
getting ready to go into flowering and i'll be moving the closet operation into the basement.

i'm just not 100% sure about this but i think i should be ok :
the chimney starts in the basement and ofcourse the flue line goes into it but there is
another hole underneath the flue line which i want to tap in and exhaust the heat from
the grow lights. however, when taking the lid off that hole to check it out ive noticed a
bunch of rocks in there and i figured is just from the inside of the chimney so ill get them out to clear the way but after a couple of grocery bags full of them and still plenty left im just wondering if there was a reason for those rocks to be there. or just keep digging out??

check out the pix, all advice is much appreciated.....

sounds like a good idea to me i mean there made for exhaust anyways :) not to sure what the rocks are for but if they clear out right to the chimney and dont have anyother leaks it seems perfectly fine, could be a good idea to run a slightley smaller tube all the way through with a filter and seal around

venting out the chimney will work fine its also commonly used for venting out smell high up into the air for the urban growers

congrats on ur house dude! go ahead and vent thru the chimney, no problems for ya there. i would just make sure to clean up the area a bit to make sure no bacteria is present and could spread along lines cuz crazy shit can happen, but you got this ;)

yeah, i did this a few yrs back at a different house and exhausted thru the chimney without problems.....
so what do you guys think about those rocks? are they just falling from the sides of the chimney or what?
is there a reason why anybody would put them in there?
