Should I cut it?

I used soapy water on my 5 week into flowering ladies thinking it would help with gnats. now the top half of the plants buds and leaves are dying or dead. all the trichs turned to a gooey redish brown and the leaves are falling off. the btm half of the plants buds, trichs, and leaves still look good with new growth looking healthy.

iv flushed them twice with 6.4 ph and used some superthrive on the second flush. the top half is slowly dying tho. the worst part is instead of the nice skunk smell i had, i now have a sweet fruity aroma.

should i chop off the top half of them plants and get rid of the dying matter or just let it runs its course?

what kind of soap did you use, and how much?

Did you spray them down with water at some point afterwards to rinse some of that soapy water off the leaves/stomata? I dont know what they say in the FAQ about this, but thats how I do it, I let it stay on a day or so, then spray it off really well so there is no film on the leaves interrupting respiration, which is what i'm guessing has happened here.

if its too late to spray them off and see if they recover, i'd cut those sections off, that will put the growing energy into the un-f*cked-up part.

i used Dawn Antibacterial and about a teaspoon in a qt of ph'd water. i sprayed them one day and then sprayed them with plain ph'd water the next day. i soaked them both times until the leaves were dripping.

the btm 1/2 seems to be recovering but doesnt smell skunky.

no, there's about 1/4 inch on top of the soil.

oh okay because i was surprised that your plant made it that far if it was in all sand.

the trichs on the btm half never changed from their cloudy color and really all the bud around there looks the same. she hasn't filled in any in 3 days now but the pistils look the same as before my weekly lesson. the leaves tho... well they've seen better days. very green but leathery looking and feeling.

i don't know about smoking her. i'm just trying to save her.

Thats lame man sorry to hear sounds like it may be too late. They are not that big so you might want to chop them an cut your losses. Then clean out your grow room really dump your soil and make sure you get some fresh soil that is sterile. What are they growing in? It looks like sand nothing like good potting soil.

yea i dont think you cant save her but i could be wrong

so it's been a cpl of days and they have new growth which is looking healthy. i guess flushing a cpl times saved them. im sure this will affect the buds taste and yield but they live.
