should i be worried????

ok so here is the problem... im in mich and the temps. have been 75+ for the last 3 days. my flower box is outside in my shed. the temps during the day in my flower box hit 86 today with lights out and has hit 95 at night with lighs on. the humidity outside is around 52%. should i worry about the temps being this high? :wall: and if so a little advise would be nice.. thanks

I'm in Michigan too and we've barely hit the mid to upper 70's and only for a few days. What are you going to do about the heat when we get 90-95 degree days with 150% humidity? I would think 95 with the lights on is a bit warm for night time, why not use the lights during the day? Not that that will cure the heat problem, but I know if I saw light emanating from my neighbor's shed at night I'd wonder what was going on. Actually I'd be sure to say hi, introduce myself, lol. Seems like you're going to have some issues when the real Michigan summer hits.

Hollywood, I would be very worried if it was me. Because we are early in the spring you have some time but, I would take some action to try an lower the temps in there. Can you vent the lamps or the shed or both? I suspect that as the outdoor temps get higher and the days longer it will get worse and it will more than +20 to ambient. A/C?

if your shed is 100% light proof, consider switching your cycle to "lights on" when it is night-time, i did this in my house being that my basmenet gets really hot and humid during the day.. hope it helpsbongsmilie

my box is sealed VERY little light excapes..fans are the only giveaway:blsmoke:

i do run my lights at night. my light is my pic 3-400w mh. im going to build another 2'x2'x4' sealed box next to my flowerbox and cool it with a small ac unit and draw the air into my flower box with my intake fans (2-238 cfm 6" dayton axis fans one at floor and one at 4') 400 cfm bathroom fan in the roof in my flower box. i know what im going to do to solve the problem just going to take $$$. :bigjoint:
