Should i be suspicious of this light?

While looking for new parts for my growroom, i came across a lighting system for sale that is a complete system (ballast, reflector, bulbs, etc) for both a 1000 watt MH and 1000 hps. This so called "switchable" reflector/ballast can apparently take both those kinds of bulbs....

This sounds too good to be true to me... Yet it is from a seemingly reliable source.... Do they actually make these things?

yes they do. you set them up so u can veg then bloom same ballasts different lights.

How much is it running for? (canada) or (states)?

I have 400W switchable - the only difference is you need HPS bulbs that are designed for that ballast. I think it is referred to as self-igniting HPS bulbs. Be sure to check the details on the product your buying for details.
