Shooting for 2lbs. Is it time to flower?

As the title says, I have 10 plants under a 1000w HPS in 3 gallon pots... Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil.

The temps are ~80 with the light on and 70 with them off.

The strains are Blackjack, Aurora Indica and Chrystal from Nirvana. The AI and Chrystal are supposed to be pretty good yeilders and the Blackjack about average from what I read.

For nutes I am using AN 3 part grow/micro/bloom and Big Bud... They have been vegging for ~5-6 weeks and my average canopy height is 2'.

All of them have been topped and there is even a little bit of LST in there to create for better light penetration.

I am shooting for at least 2lbs with this grow, should I flower now? wait a week? two?

The attached photos are what I've got going.

any advice is appreciated, thanks!:peace:

Those are some tight lookin plants, you could veg em longer if you wanted but you gotta remember when you switch to 12/12 they're gonna get alot bigger so if space is an issue your decision may be an easier one to make, ive seen plants double to triple in size after 8-10 weeks of flowering. but it looks like youre gonna be hooked up either way you go, just show em some love and you'll be good to go. Good luck. peace 1

if you want a solid two lbs id trim out all that bottom guff thats not gonna get light and focus taht energy into the main canopy....veg for 3 more weeks and u got ur 2lbs plus....how many lamps? 600s? 1000ws? id say 1lb per 1000watts is the general rule of thumb...

if u want 2 lbs suppercrop them and veg 2 more weeks... i dont see u gettin 2lbs the way they r now... i got 19oz's off 7 plants and 12 sog clones.. the clones were about 2 ozs of the harvest... check my journal and ull see the suppercrop outcome.. i had a 4X5 blanket of buds but then genetics has a lot to do with it

your looking for a min of 2#...aint gonna see it...2per is what the pro's get per light an it takes plant training an a knowhow on the plant grows....i'd say you'll hit .75-1.25 tops....altho if you count in a bunch of guffy buds(that nasty loose shit on the bottem of the plants when not trimmed properly) you'll see prolly 1.5#....az

I do plan on trimming them up a little more, I have already removed a bunch of the bottom most shoots and will be removing some more before I actually kick em into flower.

I'll probably wait a little longer and tie down some more branches at least, and I'll probably add another fan in there as well.

If I were to continue with my goal, even though the more I think about it I may be a little short on light.. What would you suggest Azgrow? I've grown before, just not this size. I've been a closet guy otherwise.

the best way to hit a 2lb per light goal with bag appeal buds..not guffy shit...is a nice even 4x4 canopy per light...this can be done several ways from a high plant sog to a low plant scrog...i like the white trellis netting to help build a cnopy an defently trim out everything below trellis...once that thic wall of buds is formed that lower shit will get super low light....az

So to improve my chances it would be better to move my plants back closer to each other, just cut all the lower shoots out and make myself a screen (I have tons of stuff I could use to make something like this)? Thats definantly doable for me. I should probably spend a couple weeks training these ladies then as just putting them into the screen and flowering probably wont accomplish much, right?

Thanks for the help +rep

should only take 5-10days for those plants to get used to the screen you want at least 75% of the screen filled before flowering...you may need to double net if you let em get em too tall over the first net....az

did pretty much the same harvest as your doing with some lemon drop last go around and got 1.25 lb. And they were beefy. Id say you will get about the same, going to take some serious work and luck to get 2 lb, best of luck though.

hey man if you have that setup in your house i dont advise having outdoor plants. you can get into allot more trouble if someone were to see it or say something. just because my friend was busted before because of that kind of situation
