The flaw is how easy it is to get a gun, not the gun itself. If people who aren't right in the head have easy access to firearms, stuff like this is going to continue.

TOKYO, Japan (CNN) -- A man ran over a group of people with his truck and then stabbed 18, killing at least 7, in a video game district of downtown Tokyo Sunday afternoon, according to a Tokyo fire official.
The dead included five men -- three aged 19, 47 and 74 -- and a woman, according to a Tokyo metropolitan police officer. The gender of the seventh person was not immediately known. Eleven others were wounded, police said, with two critically injured.

Here's your logic, Bucky.

For.the record I'm as pro gun as they come. So there's no confusion. I always open carry unless I have weed or am going to the garden.

Seriously, how many throats do you think you could slit in a crowded room before someone stopped you, if anyone even tried? Dudes won't even help a guy on a subway from getting run the fuck over, I doubt many of you are gonna take on a knife weilding pyscho for the good of mankind.
If myself or someone like me were near enough to intervene... not long. One law abiding person with a CWP could have stopped this whole deal very fast.

Eliminate guns if thats what you want to see instead, it won't stop these pyschos.

60 shots fired and 2 dead. Do you think he would of missed 58 times with a blade?
oh hell no, i LOVE my guns. check what i would put in the time capsule in that thread here. i want more armed responsible citizens, maybe give a halfway sane would be gunman second thought to know that there may be many of us armed that will take him/her down with minimal damage to the innocent :eyesmoke:

... minimal damage? Even though I agree with you, that sounds like the sort of language the military use when describing "acceptable losses" ... cn

it's a sign of the times bear, we have military experts now telling us how to survive such an attack. i grew up with another kind of "duck and cover" mentality. you know the one where we would try to shield ourselves from the atomic blast with our school desks. we were trying to minimize the damage from an unexpected foreign attack then. SOBs are domestic now. :eyesmoke:

I always thought it would be great fun to have a bar with a sign featuring a waterfowl and a quilt. The interior could be decorated with civil defense memorabilia ... cn

not as easy as anything else you could kill someone with like a knife of something. and we do restrict access to people not right in the head like felons. and for the record im not saying all felons arent right in the head lol
