so my fourth attempt dosent seem to be going so good. im not sure why my leaves are turning yellow and getting crusty near the tips, but its gonna be a bummer to have to start over. but practice makes perfect i guess....... any way, here are some pictures. any suggestions on how to maybe reverse the yellowing of the leaves or bring my plant to better health would be great.

yea dude, I would start changing something your doing. 4 times??

Why don't you tell us about your setup, and distances, watering schedule, nutes. It's much easier to determine the problem if folks know those bits.

honestly, i dont know much about it. ive got quite the goulash of second hand stuff that i never bothered learning the specs on. i know its 2 weeks old. i water it when its dry one and a half to two inches down. i keep the lights on 24/7. i run a fan for a few hours every day. off white paint on the walls. ive got two lights on it. im kinda strapped for cash so its either i make due or dont do..... ya know?

honestly
Dont grow if you cant buy the proper supplies. I dont say that to be a dick, but because it will save you a multitude of issues.
My best bet: you have maricle grow soil. and every time you water it releases nutes. I've had the issue before......
But without you telling us what lights/soil/strain name/etc/etc we wont be able to tell you much.... Either way i think its in the soil. Might be to accidic, or to akaline..... Whats the ph of the soil? (reason why you should buy everything you need before growing, instead of half assing everything...)

LOL. Good job on telling him were to go or something......
But after looking at the pictures, your soil appears to be maricle grow, with wood chips (maybe for bushes/shrubs/trees)....... I see the white "nutes" so I think im onto something. But watering will be interesting for a little bit. You may want to calm down on the ammount of water at once, and give it a little bit here and there to help with the nute burns on your plant...
But seriously I'll give you the best advice i can give anyone.
Go find a book by seemore buds. I think its called 8 ounces for $100..... that or the cannabible. Both are amazing books. Both worth the time of torrenting or even (god forbid lol) buying.
I'll look around youtube and see if i can find an educational video or something.....

Check it out, the best book by far is the "Marijuana Horticulture, The Indoor/Outdoor Medical Grower's Bible", by Jorge Cervantes. I would for sure change the soil. A good soil to start with is Sunshine Pro, cost like $30 a bale. As far as ph, get some ph down and ph up, as well as a liquid tester, all these together should be like $40. You should be able to solve your problem and produce many more successful crops in the future for under $100. It's not how much you spend, it's how you spend it. Good luck and I hope I didn't confuse you at all.

looks like a PH issue and the plants growth is becoming stunted with possible nutrient lockup.

could be anything though. as others have advised, do some more homework. you can probably nurse those back. I've brought 'em back when they looked totally yellow and shriveled and they came back like champs, just a week or so was lost.

Keep at it man. A little more info would help. Im into simplicity myself. I dont have any fancy gizmos and shit. I just use soil from the greenhouse, its basically a promix. Just basic hid lights and all that, hell i dont even use those expensive marijuana nutes. You can get by without it. Hell i dont even have a phtester and have never had a problem. Many times people make shit way more complex than what it really is. I have great grows and happy with my buds. If you need all that shit maybe your not a good a grower as you think you are. Im old school and learned about growing from my family, been doing it for generations. Keep on keeping on man :) The great thing about weed growing is that there is no 1 right way. Everyone has to find their niche. I like this aspect of growing because it keeps know it all dumbfucks quite :)

Yeah, that soil looks terrible. Spend $8 and get a decent bag of potting soil. If your medium is jacked, your whole grow will be.
