She's gone all pale on me

A few notes:
Recently got a PH meter for this problem instead of looking between color charts and a vial as I am sure this has potential to be another PH issue.
Most recent run off was 6.8 it is in super soil that is on its second run so probably a little lighter on the nutes
(though I did flower another plant in second run of the same strain that did alright.).
I had a 600 watt about 10 inches above the canopy for a good week in the start of flower. Though I maintained a cool temp (78 at canopy level).
She is in her third week of flower at the moment and has been showing the yellowing since week one.
Now that I have the meter I will start her on consistent 6.5 and see how it goes from their but I still wanted input from others as it is effecting the entire plant.
Leaves are mostly dieing off from the bottom up after extended yellowing which leads me to think it is a lock out from incorrectly PHed water (considering I have been feeding them) but I am still pretty new to this. Only my second indoor cycle and just a pinch of money to shower on the girls.

first of all....KUDOS! for posting pics along with your question..

sounds like a Manganese deficiency. I'm no pro, but that's what I've read.

I'll see what my buddies have to say and get back to ya! it may be tomorrow though :(

if it were me, I'd give it some Nitrogen, low doses, to see if that helps. I will hit you up and see what's going on tomorrow, k?

Hello. Glad to see ya here. Yeah, Rosey nailed it! It does sound, and look like a Mg deficiency to me aswell. Also, I might add to back the light off just a tad. 10" is just alittle to close imo.

Secondary Nutrients Magnesium (Mg) is found as a central atom in the chlorophyll molecule and is essential to the absorption of light energy. Magnesium aids in the utilization of nutrients, neutralizes acids and toxic compounds produced by the plant. Deficiency signs of magnesium are: Older leaves yellow from the center outward, while veins remain green on deficient plants. Leaf tips and edges may discolor and curl upward. Growing tips turn lime green if the deficiency progresses to the top of the plant.

Alright back from work, going to give a bit of a foliar spray tonight with the Mg and see if that helps. Does one spray down usually adjust the problem or will I need to continue a foliar Mg spray most likely? (for preparations sake) More pics to come as things change.

Not sure. Spray the undersides of leaves, it's better absorbed that way. If some gets on top its cool.

you may want to give it a very highly diluted watering with it too, to start.

let's see what she looks like tomorrow, post a pic later in the day.

Just keep us posted! good luck! ;)

Yeah ( underside) of the leaves will do the trick. I myself would even dose her with a tbl spoon of some episom salts to a gln of water, then ph if you do that. Should fix her right up... ;)

New pic from day 1 of spray with the MG solution, looks like less leaves have progressed on the bottom and perhaps a bit of greenery around some edges that was not there yesterday but not a ton of change. I did take note of something as I was trying to transplant this afternoon into another 7 gal with fresh supersoil, the plant has completely filled up the 7 even though it is a air pruning pot. I attempted to see if the roots had any wiggle room but its pretty much a 7 gallon ball at week three so I stopped fucking with it before I hurt the thing and put it back into its 7 till I can go pick up a bigger pot tomorrow. Would you recommend a 10? or one step larger considering it has another 4-6 weeks to go.

Day 2, got her transplanted into a 10 gal with some fresh soil and tied that bitch down (bitches love being tied down(sorry couldn't resist). Not to much difference but at least less leaves are progressing it seems. Hopefully she adjust to the soil well. As well, I figured I would throw in a picture of one of the vegging Cynex for comparison, I have considered starting a journal for the wee ones but that will be decided over the next week as they adjust from the root massage/transplant.

Notes:
MG Foliar Feed at 1TBS per gallon PHed to 6.4-5 once per day the last 2 days
Transplanted yesterday into 50% SuperSoil, 45% topsoil fill, 5% Coco Topdress
I have recently removed all but about 10% perlite from my mix, I noted that the pots drain a bit more after transplant though the enitial runoff does take a tad longer to start.
Water PHed at 6.5 with half a dose of Surge, B vitamines, and Agave
Average runoff PH between 6.5-7

Yar, I use about 25% for my vegging ladies as well and they enjoy it. Also the 50/45/5 only applies to the 3-4 available gallons in the ten gal upon transplant since the root ball was to large for me to rense in a 5 gal bucket. I did get to see how fast to much SS can tear up a sipper strain last cycle though, not the most fun when you don't have any effective kind of PHing ability. My current question, there are not many changes going on with the MG def after 3 days of spraying with a solution of 1 TBS per Gallon at a PH of 6.5. Do the leaves change back to green with MG def or is it like most cases where effected foliage remains shitty looking till harvest? How long does it usually take to reverse the effect of MG def? Another note is that the smaller Floss plants that were paleing have begun to slowly green up from the bottom up after the last 3 days of spraying, is this supposed to be what happens to the Cynex? Pictures will be posted as things change.

looks better than she did, how's the feeding going? I don't know if I would have transplanted her but since you did, keep an eye on her...

your other plant looks good too ;)

Just a quick update now that I could pull her into the hall again. She is looking a bit greener, the leaves that were most effected continue to go slowly but the leaves only partially effected are gaining a bit more of a healthy look. My apologies if the pics do not post as well. I am posting from my phone tonight. If not I will post the pic in the morning.

looks like she definitely needs some N. What are you feeding right now VaporPuff?

The video is great btw, and this commenter said:

You should also be aware of what is causing the deficiency. Adding more Nitrogen to a plant that has nutrient lockout or ph issues is only going to make things worse.

so that said, go accordingly.

Last water I did not feed but a bit of b vitamin & roots Surge to check PH. 6.5 in 6.7 Out. She will be fed a bit of Buddah Grow today but for a while these ladies were going on coffee ground tea till I could get nutes.

Quick update, she has gone a bit acidic since transplant on second watering (this time with feed) PH 6.3 in and 5.9 out. Should I raise the PH at the time or since it is leaning towards N Def at the moment leave it for higher absorbing now and raise with the next water? Thanks for the link, Lex has some pretty good videos available.

go ahead and feed that girl some N. She needs it badly buddy ;)

the coffee grounds may have been too rich when you first put them in. May I suggest you take your used grounds and bake them at approximately 250 degrees for at least an hour.

Allow them to cool. Wait 24-48 hours and then add to your top dressing.

Gave her a dose of N and she is looking better, will take another pic when lights on happens tonight. Usually with the coffee I was just snagging used grounds and letting them air dry before topdressing with them. I will try the baking method since we now have a working stove ^.^
