:mrgreen:Hey Everyone,

I haven't made a thread since the first week of April when I just started flowering. I'm now coming to the end of this grow, and I wanted you all to see where I'm at. It bothers me when I look around and see so many people asking "how much longer," but that is kinda what I'm doing (I know I have at least two more weeks).

Background:

I planted this seed exactly 125 days ago. The plant is now 43 days into fowering (today is the first day of week 6), and she is the proud mother of two little clones. Around day 25 I noticed four small male flowers (she hermied on me), and today I pulled off two seeds (I see two more developing). Thankfully the flowers and seeds were on the bottom lowest bud. No signs of seeds anywhere on cola (keeping fingers crossed).

The cola is solid for 9" on the stalk, then after a break about another 4". She is 2" in diameter with "foxtails" popping out in a few locations. Under my 30x I geusstimate that 98% of the tricomes appear to be filled with milk. I have only spotted one amber tricome in all of my observations. There is new growth (slow) on some parts, mainly the bottom, and the foxtails continue to grow a couple millimeters every other day or so.

Lights and Nutes:

I am utilizing 2 T5 HO 6500k flouros, two T12 "full spectrum" flouros, and 4 26w 6500k CFLs. I know that is considered low light to many, but this is a temporary hobby/ possible last grow.

Current Nutes are Botanicare's "Pure Blend," (1.5-4-5) and "Liquid Karma" (.1-.1-.5 trace elements). With which I have been satisfied. I water every three to four days.

I just wanted to update you all and say thanks for all the help. I really appreciate all the info this website supplies. I will re-update this thread when I harvest with harvest pics and weights, etc. Take it easy all. :peace:

Thanks guys,

Yeah I know I have at least two more weeks. But by the picture you can see that the pistils are (have been) really small and wirey. They shoot out fresh and white for about 5 hours, then go spindly. I think they could be too close to my lights, and the pistils are getting burned.

i think your good. my last harvest was ww and they were so hairy potter. wait for the hairs to turn redish orange, about 2/3 of the hairs and then you should be good. keep them going!

Does anyone think that my flowering has been negatively affected due to the fact that I have been flowering with 6500k as opposed to 27 or 34k?

Looks good to me America, I am Flowering with 6500k aswell.

I am on day 8 of 12/12, no sex yet but thats better than an early male sex.

You may have gotten more of a yeild, no way to really tell, so no point in worrying about it :)

Goodluck!

Thanks Whoreable!

It has been a week since I created this thread, and I am now wondering... All of my trics are completely cloudy, new growth has significantly slowed, and most (65%) of the hairs are getting small wirey and red. Tomorrow will be week 7. I'm due to water today, so here is my question...

How long before harvest should you begin to flush???? I am a week and a half away from my expected date, is there enough time? Or should I have begun flushing earlier?

Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks :peace:

flush two weeks before harvesting. so start flushing now, even if you go 1.5 weeks i think you should be fine. or just extend it for a few more days to reach the two weeks. my ww were doing the same thing yours are right now.

CaliMed,
I really appreciate your advice, and checkin in with my thread. I will give her some plain water today. Two weeks left. Came slower & faster than I thought. (Day by day its slow, but looking back it is fast). Take it easy.

i know time flys. im 5 weeks into my second grow. i switch to flowering on sunday.. exciting but still nerve racking becuase you want the best results. but the more grows that take place, the better you get. practice makes perfect .... takes time to practice though. you learn something new from every grow.

enjoy it and good luck

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to get your opinions and an update. My lights went off before I remembered taking pics so.....

Technically I'm on day 56 of flowering. All of my tricomes (full inspection from top to bottom) are cloudy (okay 1 in 25 are still clear), but I have only seen several amber colored tricomes. My bud growth has significantly slowed down, with a couple foxtails popping up on lower bud sites. Foxtails on cola have stopped. ~80% of my pistils are red. I have been flushing for a week now.

My goal harvest date was/is this Thursday (May 29), that will be day 58. Is 58 days a normal indoor time? Is this an okay plan for this Thursday???

Thanks :peace:

You want to harvest when the Tricomes are all cloudy. Looks like you are VERY close to harvesting, if not right at its door. I would either flush if you havent done that already, or stop watering it and harvest at your goal date.

well man, that depend on tha strain. also if ya want a upity high, you should harvest now. when the trichs turns amber, the high will be more couch lock. you can go with 50% amber and 50% milky ,,,,,,this will be combination of both. you can take a sample bud and put it in a newspaper. it will dry out for two days and you can test it. this will give you a simple idea about the high @ this stage of maturation. Cheers!!! Cheetah
