shelf life of dolomite lime

high all,

I was planning on using a little bit of dolomite lime for my next grow, at 1 tbsp per gallon of soil. I can easily afford to buy some but I did find a bag in my garage that looks like it is old but I was wondering if it should work just fine anyway, after all a penny saved is a penny earned.

it is called hoffman hydrated horticultural lime. it has been closed though not totally sealed and it is a fine powder.

As long as it's not hard as a rock your fine. I've been using the same bag for outside for 2 seasons.

cool, thanks. I do think its at least 5 years old but it is very powdery and not at all like a rock.
