Shed Grow, Looking for Advice

Ok, didn't get as much accomplished as I wanted... Self employed here and I was working from about 8am till NOW (8pm)... But I managed to squeeze a little time in to get everything up to my man cave closet. Doesn't look very pretty right now, and I taped up my fucking reflective crap in the wrong area... forgot I had to put my "water chiller" in the corner of the closet... so I have to go out and buy more of it tomorrow to cover up entire closet. I'm looking at about 5 ft of vertical space for the plants to grow... I'm thinking that when I do buy HPS lighting that I'll need to remove that wire shelf at the top of the closet to hang the lights. The closet itself is only about 3 feet wide... And I'm guessing for lighting, should I just go with a 600w? That way if I get good at this I don't have to buy new lighting if I decide to jump up to 4-6 plants.

Fuck, pictures aren't rotated... oh well... smoke up and it'll probably look straight then... Also, the brown thing in the grey reservoir is just to keep the tube down below the water line to ensure it gets cold and will cool down the green DWC...

are you usiong smart pots and what point did you top at and how long did you veg for? I have 2 4x8 and a 3x3 i use for flowering and a 4x4 for vegging in. I want to maximize the flowering tents how would you go about this? i want a fast turn around Im currentlyrunning a scrog in 1 4x8 but only have 2 plants in their each plant is in 10 gallon airpots. there doing ok but i need more advice how to have a faster turn around. thanks for any advice you can offer

That pic is 6 plants in 5 gallon pots I topped them as soon as the roots took hold after i got them as clones..... They were about 12 inchs to 18 inchs tall when i topped....I like to top early so they have time to grow big branches from the point of topping....... Ive also run the same set up but using 3gallon smart pots and instead of 6 i did 18 plants 9 under each light and vegged them to 18 inchs only..... But with these i vegged them to almost 3 feet before flipping to flower...... eather way its not hard this set up if very simple and easy just one fan for intake and one for exhaust two lights and thats it.....No heater no ac no dumidifier ..

@ sudodaemon: if u listen to that guy u will have a thousand plus dollar + 3X3 space. pm me if u want help setting up a cost efficient grow space. im over footclan. ive gotten into it with him before over something so fuckin stupid and i apologize for hijacking ur thread. footclan is a blow hole that has to have everything scientifically proven even if people are doing exactly the opposite of what he is saying and having great results. people are finding newer ways to grow bud easier and it will still be dank.he just isnt open minded to other peoples techniques. if i had thousands of dollars i would hit him up fopr a 60+ plant flowering room. but for three plant the things he says u need is fuckin rediculous. good luck on ur grow and i wish u the best.

No, didn't cut any holes yet. Didn't want to do that until I bought an exhaust fan. That way I don't cut too much, etc. I plan on looking on amazon tomorrow for something.

ok if you had my tents how would you max them out? how much do you think I should pulling out of these? lighting isnt issue either

quick turn around with pot?

topping is strain dependent, same with LSTing. some strains do well others not so much. u just need to experiment to find out.

have u ever considered taking 25 clones veg them for two weeks after rooting in one gallon pots and then flower them. u will get a pretty bangin amount out of it that way. but not really a way to speed up the growth. lol. while ur doing ur plants now put a clone in and veg a mom and as soon as u have room cut 20+ clones stick em in one gallons and veg for two weeks then flower them. big yield but the downside is the amount of plants u have to grow. the good side is they are in one gallons so u can cram them in there pretty good.

yeah a 600 with a decent hood. if u go smaller than a 600 u will limit what u can do later on if and when u feel like expanding and have anything smaller. digital ballasts are nice cuz they run cooler and most are dimible so u can run it at a lower wattage for veg to save power. instead of running 600 watts 18+ hours a day u can dim it down to 400 and run it at 18+ hours and save 200 watts an hour on ur electric bill not to mention digitals have a better and more efficient use of power than magnetics. nothing is wrong with magnetics i still use one but will soon upgrade to 2 600s in digital in my 6x4 instead of the 1000 i have now. lighting is the most expensive thing u should have to deal with at this point becuz of the initial purchase and the amount of power it will draw every month on ur elec bill. the watts add up quick. lol.

I don worry about turn around so for me i have no real experiance trying to have a fast turn around im more worried about final yield weight and qaulity.... But if you want faster turn around id suggest growing smaller plants in smaller pots and veg them way less... so basicly go SOG instead of SCROG but like i said above more pots more plants more work...... You can also go active hydro that could cut a weak or two maybe of your veg tme....

also i dont know how much light your using but in a 4x8 i would run eather 2 1000watters like i do in my 4x8 or i 3 600watters ..... 2 600 watters in a 4x8 is not ideal but will get results
