in lake county the stupidvisors passed a cultivation ordinance that many of us did not like lol, so we got sigs and forced them to either rescind it or do as they did:

Supervisors vote to place county marijuana cultivation ordinance on June ballot

but we are working towards getting this on the ballot as well to make sure folks have good options :)

How long after the ban was voted in did it take for you guys to force a referendum?

damn, moved to shasta from socal this past year for the peace and privacy. the local guys around here are saying its the church-goers who have a seat in the community getting this all riled up. pretty shitty considering i can probably think of 357 grows from here to the local store, but thats the total number of complaints the county had all of last year. head up to trinity reserve or ono or even east shasta, theres hundreds of little grows everywhere going to be nearly impossible to stop them all. 50% will be scared out of growing 1% actually gets introuble the other 49% live in fear.

Shasta Growers, where you at?

Stooped over in my garden.
There's several groups getting involved thru https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sungrown-in-Shasta/1406625316254822on Face Book.
We're looking for residents of Shasta County that are registered voters in Calif.
to sign petitions to recall the Board of Supervisors and we have 2 or 3 qualified people to
vote into office, we're even looking for a pot friendly Sherriff to elect.
tomorrow there should be some thing to sign to put this on a back burner and I believe
force them to put it on a ballot to be voted on by the citizens of Shasta Co.

This is a zoning law put on the books in a Back room arrangement.
They can find us $1k, file leans and charge you with a misdemeanor.
Even if and when California were to pass legalization, we in Shasta County will still be breaking the law by
growing weed, storing weed in your home in ANY amount.
So check out FB and get involved if you live in Shasta county.

Shasta County..
Come on vacation..
Leave on probation!!!!

we had to get the sigs fast due to the sups timing (at xmas), but i think in general you have 30 days...you should contact your county's elections department though to confirm such.

ps...so few registered voters voted in the last election for governor that it has left the threshold for the number of sigs needed very low and reachable in most cali counties...only 2115 were needed in lake co for example ;)

Going down to get some petitions and bring them up for signatures..
Not a good time to leave it to some one else to fix!!

of course counties should be vigilant in engaging the referendum process to challenge the local prohibitionist ordinances of late which seek to undermine 215, but with the low threshold for sig requirements its a good opportunity for cali counties to fight back with local ballot initiatives that reconfirm and reinstate 215 (cua)...

I almost bought a parcel in Shasta County until a buddy of mine one county over called me the day this outdoor ban was passed. Its a shame. I found a spot down near Bakersfield in Kern county. Good luck to you guys up there in Shasta County.

215 was intended to create uniform protections throughout the state for all patients who have their docs recommendation...sb420 (and the folks who brought and rooted for it) is to blame for where we are now (that is if you set aside the fact that we dont demand our human rights to grow any plants we choose etc), so it might be good if counties pass 215 reinforcing ordinances that would bar your respective county from passing anything that would erode your abilities under 215...this year is the year to act on such while the sig threshold is so low...

You might not have any water down there, to pull off an outdoor grow this year. Just a thought......

You'll figure that out on your own. There's a reason every one wants to grow in Shasta perfect climate!
And water you can drink with out worrying about getting cancer.
No traffic jams. Corn fed gals :).

That's why I'm fighting to keep my right to grow my own meds.
These ass holes are going to loose, they have no idea the storm they've brought down on themselves.
And it's going to cost them their jobs, and bring in a healthier Shasta County.
