Dreams are like personal letters from the subconscious mind. If only they were written in the same language we use in waking reality!
Fortunately, we have the ability to study our dreams and interpret the common dream symbols they contain. Although there is no hard and fast rule book of universal definitions, the following dream meanings offer a sound starting point for most people.
It's worth stating that dreams are not psychic premonitions of the future. They are subtle, subconscious thought patterns expressing information and emotions we aren't aware of while awake. All dream symbols are programmed by your own subconscious self (even in lucid dreams, where the conscious mind is allowed to play a role).
Recognizing common dream symbols is a good way to start lucid dreaming. For instance, if you repeatedly dream of cars, running away, or flying, you can attach each of these triggers to a reality check. Anytime you experience or think of the stimulus during the waking day, do a reality check. You'll soon repeat the check during your dreams when you encounter these symbols and become lucid.

How to Identify Dream Symbols
To identify common dream symbols in your own dreams, keep a dream journal. Write in the present tense as if you're actually re-experiencing the dream, and underline any unusual or poignant aspects (eg, "the frog is sad because he knows a drought is coming").
Next, refer any emotional or recurring dream symbols to a dream dictionary or the list below. Remember - don't take these definitions as read, because they do depend on the context of your dream, your personal psychological attachments to the symbols, and your current life circumstances. Just let this be a starting point for fuller personal analysis...

try having a 4 day break from weed and see how crazy and vivid you're dreams are lol i love it
Haha dude I do that all the time.

Have you ever experienced a lucid dream, or sleep paralysis?
I can lucid dream, I taught myself at a young age. I used it to escape.

I've had lucid dreams, waking nightmares that the memory of gives me the willies just thinking about. They always started with translucent shapes that wouldn't fit the space of a number.
I love to lucid dream!! Scares the shit out of my gf lol. I love having out of body experiences.

Just the other night I had a sexual dream about sunni. It involved sex. And sunni. At the same time.
Imagine that ;)

When I was on probation I stopped smoking for 15 months, I would have dreams all the time that in my dream I would smoke and I would actually feel high in my dream. I'd start freaking out like omg why did I smoke I have a test coming I'm so stupid, then I'd wake up and be like thank god that was a dream
Haha dude I had the same thing happen to me! I remember one time when I was younger I'd dream that I got high and then I'd have to to go see my PO and got thrown in jail. Fuck those dreams. no bueno!

it's been 2 months since i've smoked weed and i'm really not enjoying all this dream crap. nothing i would call a nightmare but just a bunch of stupid unpleasant shit.

last night i had a dream where i had to take a shit and it took me forever to find a toilet. i finally find a toilet in some sandwich shop and the stall was really big and there was a kitchen sink in there. i sit down to take my shit and some fat guy opens the stall and starts rambling a bunch of shit i don't remember. i bitch at the guy to fuck off because i'm trying to take a shit. he leaves, and i go over to the stall door to lock it but it's just a broken string for a lock. i fiddle with it for a bit and can't get the door to stay closed so i say fuck it and just accept that people will interrupt my shit taking, which they do. i hate shitting on display. then i leave the place into an alley where i miss a school bus by 2 seconds.

the night before i had a dream where a bunch of women were sitting at a table with me and they were all pissed at me accusing me of saying all sorts of crazy shit i didn't remember saying. one of them accused me of calling her boyfriend a "kraut" which is fucking hilarious because not only do i not use that word, i haven't heard it in years. in the dream i was seriously freaked out thinking i had said all sorts of nutty shit and thought i was losing my mind. these broads were so pissed.

earlier in the week i had a dream where my friend had a pickup truck, but the truck was actually my grandfather's truck from when i was a little kid. i borrowed it and the truck rolled backwards down a hill and i chased it and watched it smash into a store window. i just kept saying fuck over and over again.

my dreams suck. it's just a bunch of me feeling really uncomfortable and some weird recurring school bus theme. i can only conclude that i'm a miserable sob. no flying, no sex, no happiness. just misery and dread and something's always my fault. every fucking night.

Well I hope you get the job offer.
I tend to only remember my shitty dreams when I wake up but my chick says I laugh (and fart) a lot while I sleep. Don't remember any dreams from last night.

Anyone else have dreams where you are trying to shoot someone, and the trigger is too hard to pull? You are squeezing and squeezing and cannot get the gun to fire? On just a few occasions I have been able to shoot someone, but no matter how many times I shoot them they don't die. REALLY FRUSTRATING!

I have had a lifelong recurring nightmare where ET grabs me by the neck and drowns me in a lake. I attribute this dream to my father using a stuffed ET toy when I was a child to muffle my screaming when he assaulted me.

Well. I decided to come here in a whim of my last dream which was hirribly freakish to me. So here goes.

Okay so premises is that there is an American private investigator who is well respected in the U.S. Big japanese comapny hire him to investigate about suicides that are going on at said company (I see through the eyes of the P.I.). So they fly him there and he meets some.people then they tell him to wait in the computer lab on the 24th floor in the computer lab. So he goes to that floor. He gets tired of waiting and decides to go on the net to look up some japanese customs so he can better fit into the local's way of life. He learns that (not true, just how it was in the dream) but the japanese culture is the first culture ever recorded on earth and that japanese lore tells of tall people with fish-like skin and no face who brought what we would call japanese culture from the sky etc. So interesting and all, He goes to the 42nd floor of this building to meet 2 japanese police detectives who are not very found of our American protagonist. He also meets the director of the 42nd floor who is a cheerful little japanese man who is very clear and blunt about his views on the recent suicides and the rate which they are occuring. He states that these people are cowards and are not fit for life plus a dishonor to their families and names. So investigations go on the next couple of days and its boring boring and more just plain boring then one day, Mr. P.I. walks into Mr. Director's office to find him knelt on the ground with the display hanzo sword from the display case in his office stuck in his gut as he himself had committed hari kiri, traditional japanese suicide. So then detectives take swab sample that takes 30 mins to detect a protein only found in human skin that is used to detect approximate time of death so while they are waiting they leave police to watch the body while they go into a side room to talk. In the side room the 2 detectives start arguing a little with Mr. P.I. and then they go to look at the body again except when they do the body is not the director but one of the cops. The police are no.where to be found. The office that just had 75 workers and police officers everywhere is vacant. They all 3 run back to the room to check the swab sample and one detective looks at it and starts freaking out because the sample said the protein was not detected, therefore the Director wasn't human and was no where to be found. All of a sudden the door to the small side room slams shut while the 3 start arguing and fighting under the stress and they begin to beat on the door for someone to let them out. Then a big boom.hits the door and they back away as it slowly creeps open revealing a deformed Director's body with fish like skin, oddly skinny and tall and no face whatsoever.

All my dreams are lucid. For the most part. I'd say on average six out of seven nights of the week I am aware that I am dreaming. It took a lot of practice, I had to meditate myself to sleep a lot to get my brain going right. Anyone can do it. It is actually pretty easy. You just have to practice. The important thing is not to take anything in the dream world literally. Only you can decipher the mysteries of your own mind, and it is always a deeply personal experience. Don't let anyone tell you what your mind means.
