As the title says this is my first grow. Have always enjoyed the Green and definitely a hobby type of guy, so I said what the hell. I got a few bagseeds and did some research on the various blogs/YouTube such as this one. I started off with 5 plants. Which I only expected to keep the best 2, mostly because this is only for a hobby and personal use. I don't intend on being in high times or Growing the dopest shit lol. I just want to see if I can grow a nice healthy plant and have fun watching it grow. So any tips or advice would be welcomed. Evenany negative feedback is welcomed.
Thanks
Shady

So I my plants as of today April 1, area week and 2 days from sprouting. I germinated them in purified water until the Root popped out, it was about a day. I planted them in abiodegradable pot with miracle grow. I didn't know about the negativeopinions about miracle grow untilafter I planted them. Anyway, I kept the soil moist until it sprouted, so about once a day if that. Once they came up I choose two healthy looking ones and put them under three 23 watt (100watt equivalent) CFLs. Inside a box lined with aluminum foil. Also did not know about the negative opinions on this either. They were in the box with a 18/6 light schedule for 5 days and then I switched the box out.

They are now in a 4×3 grow box lined with mylar windshield reflectors. I have 4 23 watt ( 100watt equivalent). And 2 13 watt (60 watt equivalent) BOTH ARE CFLs.
They are still in miracle grow and I have already moved them into bigger pots. Same 18/6 light cycle, and I have added a fan that runs during light hours.

Tell me what you think guys and girls, sorry for the long read. I'll keep posting updates weekely with pics.

Hi man!

I also grow bag seeds and get interesting results.

Are your bag seeds from bags full of seeds or were they like the unexpected lone seed of their respective bag?

So they're probably all from the same plant that has been pollenized... which is a natural thing. But watch out for males!

I know Ill be happy if at least one is female but hope for both. And if neither are then I'll just chalk it as a learning experience and start again with better knowledge and medium.

Looking good man, are you going to use cfl'socket the whole grow. I thought about doing that. Almost did
Yeah I am, I'll add a few more once I switch to 12/12 though. Not looking for a big yield as much as I am quality.

That's cool, they work well. The only reason I got a hps is because I found a used ballast and hood for next to nothing. Just had to buy the bulb. I'm going to watch your journal, good luck dude.

Does it look like I have preflowers on blue pot. The node below the fim...second from the top. If you zoom on second pic you can see

I don't see any preflowers. I don't think you would see any preflowers this early with out changing lighting schedule. I could be wrong tho.

Ok 3 week update

Blue pot started out as my hopefully but as it grows it just look awkward to me. I've watered it the same schedule as the other and they receive the same light. Only thing I could think of is that it's in a bigger pot with more of the nutrition-high miracle grow.

Also I switched to 12/12 two days ago. Mostly because this was a first grow just to get some knowledge and comfortable with it on some level. I never expected a high yield at all.

I plan on flowering these out if they are female and start a long patient grow. If anyone knows a good place to order seeds please let me know, I'll research but it's always nice to hear personal favorites. Preferably where I can pay with card.

Blue pot ( from research I think the bent leaves are from too much nutes, learned lesson)
