Sexing, then reveg question?

Wait, what?

Well-Known Member
I need to know if this Green Crack plant is female. If so, I want to clone the entire plant. I understand, there will be recovery time, but it would be less than waiting for the clones to show sex

The only thing is, I can't find a lot of reading on this. I need to know a few things

Is it safe to clone after reveg?

Will it affect yield?

Is there anything i need to know to avoid screwing it up?

Any thoughts are appreciated. I'm new to this level of growing

Yes it is safe, you could have went 12/12 from seed, and as soon as it shows sex, pop it back into veg. However, I would highly suggest once put back into veg that you allow the plant to veg for a month or so before taking clones. Just my 2 cents.

I have done this in the past. for some reason it seems to screw with the plant . it will have the same yield . but it might start shooting out different finger leafs or grow funny. or just look like a freak . I don't suggest doing it. and never cut a clone off a plant after it is in flower . odds are it will have to be thrown out. I have had a plant in flower for about 1.5 weeks took it out decided to veg it to cut clones off of it . the plant started to look funny. so I ended up reveging it for 2 weeks and flowering it . I was a freak on a leash . plant. I also cut clones off bottoms of plants in flower 2 weeks in the branches that would of been pop corn buds. I ended up veg ing them for about 3 weeks after they took root to about a foot tall only to decide to throw them all away ! so my advice is grow them the height you want knowing if they are male or female . and throw into flower keep a close eye on them . and throw the males out then. you should know with In 3 weeks.

Why don't you grow the plant out and take clones right before you put it in flower and if its male throw it all out? If female just keep flowering that and then you have clones to play with too!

Personally I take clones, root them and flower one right away. That way there is no risk with the mother. Re-vegging can result in rather weird looking plants (Monster cropping for example).

you can keep it in 24/7 and then walk in there and tie a light proof anything around a few sites for 12 hours of dark, after about a week or two max(keep the same schedule every day) your blacked out nodes will show their sex. without having to do the whole, flower, reveg thing
