sexing seeds and complete darkness

so i had a question i've heard rumblings of being able to speed up the process of sexing a plant by putting it into complete darkness for 72 hours. My question is is this possible? Or will it hurt my plant, it would be nice if i could define sex that fast because they will all be reverted to veg again once sex has shown. Thanks for they help guys.

The darkness won't kill the plant, it may throw off chemical processes however. As for quick sexing, if it were possible, everyone would be doing it. There are as many myths regarding growing weed as there are strains of weed.

i usually subscribe to the dont fix it if its not broke but i got a lot of seedlings need sexin right now and not so much space oh well just gonna have to be smart about my rotation.

Figure on 5-8 weeks from seed, regardless of the light cycle.

That's just botany and there's no getting around it.

Hopefully, for you it will be closer to 5 weeks. When you see alternating nodes, you'll be close.

ROFL seriously.....wait for alternating nodes to sex my plant..... lol. I sex mine as SOON as i see the first five leaf come out of it. Usually by the third or fourth node they get thrown into it. You wait fuckin forever man. I dont flower for a crop til i get alternating nodes from seed because its not technically sexually mature but i can tell sex way earlier than that. Usually only about 4 weeks before i can get sex out of em unless they super slow growers and those are usually female anyway. Alternating nodes doesnt tell you shit about sex.
