sexing plant by smell ???

is it possible to sex my plants by the smell off the stem,s ??

2 out of 3 of my plants smell of grass but the 3rd does not smell can i say this is a male ?

i have tryed looking for hairs or balls at the nodes to sex them but i can tell lol

how are they looking anyway the are at day 17

No u can't tell just by the smell or any other way. It'll take either a week to two weeks of flowering for most regular non-auto strains to show sex, OR 5-7+ weeks in veg for them to show.

i can see hairs coming out of one of my plants and she is only 3 weeks old they are sitting about 11 inch tall i a about to put them in to flowering as i have limited space for tall plants . is this ok to do ????

also one o the plants roots is coming throw the drain holes does this mean i need larger pots ?

now thats funny. can u tel the sex by the smell never heard that before. they look good. you should be abull to start flowering in a couple weeks. you will be abull to tell the sex by the second week of flowering. good luck with your grow.

why should i leave them for another 2 weeks ? as they are 11 inch tall at min and i read that once that hight i can put on flowering ?

i said to wait 2 more week so u can fix what is wrong with ur plants sun of leaves look yellow with brown tips. you can flower now if you want. its ur plant and you can do what ever u want with it.

You can flower from sprout if you want but the yield will be low

this is my first grow am only tryin to find out as much info as possible cheers for reply .

what you think is wrong with them ie leafs being yellow ????

one o them got burn when first set up due to heat but moved the light further away 8 days ago and no more burning

what are you giving ur plants for nutes if any? have you checked your PH at all?

no i have not checked there ph

i am using bio-gro

the othere thing is the roots are coming out the drainage holes on bottom of pots is it time to repot them ?

yes it is time to repot them. try to repot them only once. so you dont give them shock from the transplant twice.
