Ok so I am trying to figure out the best way to sex my babies while still tranplanting them before being rootbound, wasting the least amount of soil possible.
What I've done in the past is once I tranplant from dixies to my first pot (3 gallon is what I'm planning on) and after they get about a foot or so tall, I change the light cycle to 12/12 for 2 weeks, then back to 20/4 or 18/6 for veg. within a month or so I see signs of sex. The goal here is to see the sex before they get into the ten gallon pots
Something I'm interested in, is how early can I do this light deprivation?
Microsexing-- Is there any tricks or info on this out there? I can't find a good tutorial
One thing i read about-- light depriving a single branch to show sex. I would guess this single branch may stretch and do some odd growth but maybe this is the way to do it?
anyones experience is greatly appreciated! I like fem seeds cause they are easy but I like reg seeds because they're more basic and cheaper . Alot of people think you are better off with regular seeds for the best plants. And that small chance of a stud that I may wanna make my own seeds with some day.. MAYBE.. lol
