Sexing and Trimming

So I have two plants about 3 weeks into flowering, one is definitely a male but is budding (I plan to keep the seeds and use for personal) and the other I hope is a female because its takin a little longer. So what do i do in order to not pollenate the other plant but keep the buds from the male? Also, what is the best way to trim away fan leaves and how much should I trim?

First of all, you're not going to get any real, usable bud from the male. If you're not into hash, get rid of the sob. also, do not trim ANY of the fan leaves. you're plant needs those for sugar production. just leave 'em be.
