sex already showing?

okay so ive decided to give 12/12 from seed a try since im limited in space n i currently have a few plants flowering. 2 of the 3 seeds i have sttarted are already showing sex, is this normal? i thought that they would not show until they were mature. these plants are 3 maybe 4 inches tops so i highly doubt theyre mature.

this is a common problem with 12/12 from seed u got your temps down ok? what lights are u useing? pics will help

hmmm temps should be fine around mid to high 70s would be my guesse? im using a 250w hps. i would post pics but i have no camera n my phone doesnt like the abundant ammount of light in there

I find it weird that they already are showing gender... what exactly are you seeing? Is there little balls or hairs in branch "armpits"? Also, how old are they?

You might be able to reverse it by putting them under 24 hours or 18 hour light (make them think they were just in Spring).

i had mad pre-flowers on one of my plants... it really looked like it was flowering and was under 24 hours of light... you can kind of see what i had going on, but after a few more weeks, it really looked like it had started to bud... Maybe yours is doing the same thing...

I've had plants show sex early and then prety much do nothing but the rest with them do fine
but thats 12/12 from seed

Thats mad weird bro haha, flowering under 24 hour light... must have been monstah buds, budding under 24hour light

You know I picked up a White Rhino clone and put it under my 1,000hps at 16hrs light. I noticed its hairs only a day or two after, I dont know if the shop started it flowering or what but it took two weeks to start growing.

You know what i was just thinkin, you might have got an auto-flower seed you didnt know about, lots of big name seed dispensaries sell auto-flowering seeds, they will just naturally start flowering after 2 weeks or so (so they would be about 3-6" tall).

You know I picked up a White Rhino clone and put it under my 1,000hps at 16hrs light. I noticed its hairs only a day or two after, I dont know if the shop started it flowering or what but it took two weeks to start growing.

You might have got an auto-flowering clone too. Its highly likely, if you got it from a dispensary or marijuana club.

+rep, I have read so many posts about auto flowers and that never occured to me.

idk about an auto flower strain cuz i got it out of some bagweed that i had but its possible cuz they all look like the same strain. the thing that trips me out is that the plants r about the size of my middle finger n already showing me the "v" sign

I pick clones up from dispensaries pretty often. Clones from shops are almost always under 24 hour lighting. Cutting it down from 24/0 to 16/10 cause it to want to start flowering but it couldn't complete the proccess because lighting was not correct. You said it took 2 weeks to grow, this was most likely the stress caused by the lighting schedule change.

I would think that if it were a light issue the other three I bought that day might have done it too. I have been giving this some thought, shocked me. Nothing else had a hair. I wanna check that 24hr thing, if so then it would be wise to start at 24 then slowly back down to the 16, would this be the best option you think?

photoperiod plants do not have to be mature to flower. When they are switched to 12/12 they start flowering.
