Yo guys, its J again,

The leaves on some of the plants have started to curl as you can see in some of the pictures and also some have gone brown or yellowy, what am I doing wrong?

Am using 18-6 lighting, nutrients are basic nutrients for indoor plants (Know this isnt ideal but funds again..)watering every other day or 3/4 days, whenever they look / feel dry.

All help and advise appreciated as always,

stay high,

J

Plants are reaching for light .... BAD. Do you have a fan on these babies? Do you ph test? What is the temp? Do you reflect the light you do have back down onto the plants? Sides need to be painted white. Ph testing is a must that and proper lighting.

as mogie said, BAD stretching going on dude. you can bury them a bit, but it is almost too late for this action, so get a fan up on low and invest into bamboo sticks to support them.
AND MOVE THOSE DAMN LIGHTS DOWN, RIGHT ABOVE THE TIPS, INCH AWAY!

I didn't have a fan for ages, which is why they stretched really badly at first, but since changing the setup they havn't grown up much at all, just more leaves really. Nope, don't have a pH tester, is this vital? Havn't been testing temperature either if im honest. Reflective side will be sorted tomoz.

Any ideas what the brown / curling leaves means?

Cheers,

J

pH is vital, as a fan is in indoor grow. and your plants didn't stretched because of the lack of a fan but because the floros been too far away!

brown curly leaves can mean several things, as long you don't feed them with nutes it is usually over-watering and root rot caused by this. if you use nutes or your water has an high pH, for that you need a meter now, could that cause a nutes-lock up in the soil, so that your plants get no food at all basically... a too low pH will just cause the same trouble. that is why the damn pH is so important, every farmer knows his pH of his fields damn it!

and for the record, the fan is needed to strengthen the stems and feed CO2/O2 to the leaves, so it also has to stay on all day and can't be off during dark hours as some noobs may will tell you, the thing does what is the winds job in nature.

Many people do however shut fans off at night, as I do! I think it is a matter of the growers choice on this and not mandatory.
