Setting up a 2x4 tent

Hey everyone I'm starting my 2nd grow in a 2x4x5 tent I already have and looking set it up more properly than last time which only consisted of a t5 fixture and a box fan, Planning to grow 3 northern lights in soil. It is getting winter and we don't run central heating so I'm also hoping the tent can keep itself and the room somewhat warm.
Here is the list I've got planned:
- 400w HPS with a air cooled hood
- 6 inch 440 CFM centrifugal fan
- 6x16 inch carbon filter
- a few clip-on fans
- 7 gal smart pots

Just need a second opinion.

Thanks for your time.

What temperature would the room be in the winter typically? You might want to get a heater for lights out.
During the day even in the worst days it's ok even if its 50f outside the room stays around 65-70f with all the ambient heat sources from computers and stuff, but at night it can get into the 30s-40s and by that time I already am using a heater as I do sleep in the same room the tent is in.

You'll fill that tent up, my 2x4 is full with three plants in 3 gal bags. Be on top of your canopy management.
I'd suggest placing your filter at the top of the tent. Filter>hood>fan. Put your fan outside the tent for more room. The fan should be pulling enough air that your tent walls will be pulled in a little. This will keep all your smells going through the filter, so your parents won't smell a thing!

I'd like to see you do it right .... is this your first grow?? what nutrients did you decide on? I'm running 50/50 Coco Perlite... Mother Earth makes a premix bag I think for a dollar more you can get one with perlite already mixed.. ( I like mixing my own so I go that route) Can't go wrong on Northern lights. Its a great strain that can take the heat and the cold (when lights off during the fall and winter it can get cold in your tent) proper air flow is key.... I would get yourself a nice 6" Air cooled hood.. 6" Hydrofarm inline fan is a good choice.. make sure you can deal with the temps... so get a dimmable ballast! keep up posted bud..
