Whats up everyone, this is my 2nd grow. I'll fill you in on the details.

Serious seeds bubblegum. vegged until a height of about 1 foot

Grow medium is a bubbleponic system, 2 air rocks, I have the plant in rockwool, and hydroton pellets

Nutrients i have been using is Stealth hydro micro, grow, and bloom..
feeding is on 2 weeks cycles.

Lighting is a 1000w hortilux super HPS, and a 1000w sunmaster MH both which i run off my dual ballast

Ok room conditions, I have it currently in a cold room in a basement.. no intake/exhaust.. I have a fan on high blowing heat off the bulb and another fan blowing on the plant..

Day temps are 84-86f and night temps drop to about 57-62f

I will need to look into ventilation and odor control fairly soon, but need a few ideas as it is a whole room Im dealing with here.. i would have to close off joist spacing in the floor/seal out the room.. any suggestions are welcome..

also does anyone have any info on carbo boosting?

here are some pics.. 6 days into flower.. take care people!

ahhhh, serious bubblegum, lovely strain lovely taste but can be a bitch to grow, i pray for you to get good phenos, don't get me wrong all the phenos are good smoke, but one really likes to get big ass tall, like in a major way,

this pheno has been EXTREMELY bushy and compact for me.. If it gets tall in flower you mean that might be a different story.. but my friend this girl was on her 7th node at about 6 inches in height. :) What experiences with the phenos have you had?

i also used to have similar issues as yourself, i tried building things on more than a few occasions, now that i have moved house, and my growing options were cut, the only way i could get the green light from the wife was if i had a tent, and now i got one, i don't know why i never did before, its just so nice having everything all contained in that one tent without having to put any real work in building something and having it come out decent

theres a short stocky one that has more indica tendancies, and another one that is almost haze like in growth, both are very very nice, but the tall one always causes me major problems

what do you do for heat though.. as far as running a 1000w in one of those tents.. it just doesnt seem possible to me..
you need to have proper extraction and intake through fans, although these fans are noisy, but it will contain the smell in the tent and clean it before it leaves

And whats the shipping on one of those tents? i would imagine the framing has to have some weight to it.. Im in Canada. Thanks for the info guys.. My next investment will be a cool tube. do these tents have holes for intake/exhaust already or do you cut your own?

Also whats your experiences with the odor from this particular strain? I also have a burmese and a northern skunk in flower as well but they are significantly smaller, and most likely will not contribute to odor until later in flower. So far the bubblegum hasnt been to bad, but i wonder if it does pick up a distinctive weed smell or not

you'll probably be able to find one in a grow shop or something where you are, i'm not sure about shipping as i just went to a shop and bought mine

Thanks Man...

But never trust a Gypsy... trust me on that one ... lol...

I would just make one... I saved over US$100 by making mine...

what kind of materials did you use.. and what kind of support do you have for your light.. all the weight... what about your ballast box?

The Panda Film, the wardrobe and the tape was under $40.. the zippers added a little bit to that...

Any other tent would also be just a frame with a covering... all of the accessories are not included with either choice...

The tent you linked is really nice, but t does the exact same thing mine does... and would need the exact same accessories to make it work like mine...

Just prettier and a hundred bucks more...

it needs lights and filters and scrubbers, but these are built to hold the weight, and your not limited by that size, what is it 36 x 14 or something like that?

it also saves you the time making sure its light proof and all the hassles that go along with building it,

as i said earlier i've built my own contraptions several times, and while they were reasonable trusting them with your lights carbon filter and inline fan with your plants underneath, they have baffle flaps to block light and have ports on all sides for everything needed, all you need get is the electric equipment, like lights and carbon filter/fan those are all you need to put in a tent besides the plant,

your tent is nice, i'm in no way knocking it, but its probably better to give the guy the facts about each tent and let him make his own mind up

So will any tent right?

or does the $139 tent include all that?

but these are built to hold the weight,
Well, the wardrobe is meant to be used as a coat storage... coats are heavy...

Plus.. what more priif that it works do I need other than I have it and it works...lol...

and your not limited by that size,
I choose that size, just as one would choose sizes on a pre-built tent...

what is it 36 x 14 or something like that?
Mine is 36x20x54, but I could have easily built the frame out of 1"x1" wood, which would have been even cheaper, and I could make it any size...

it also saves you the time making sure its light proof and all the hassles that go along with building it,
Well, panda film is light proof...

You make overlapping edges...

Let me out it this way.. I have the tent, and it was next to my bed for a while... even with the 600 running, I could shut the flap and be in total darkness in my room...

As of the hassle of building it...

First I wanted to... second I saved $100...and third... building this tent was as easy as wrapping a gift...lol

Just like wrapping a BIG OL' box gift... I even folded and taped the top like that..lol...

Its easier to wrap a small box, but this is still in the easy category in my book..lol...

Well, I put my light inside (obviously), but I put my filter, fans and ballast on the outside...

There is no reason to cram all that stuff inside of the tent,,, it's just more heat to deal with... in my opinion...lol...

The hole for the ventilation were all custom made, where I needed them and as big as I needed them...

The only thing that tent has that mine does not is a brandname tag...

your tent is nice, i'm in no way knocking it, but its probably better to give the guy the facts about each tent and let him make his own mind up
Sure...

I'm all for that...

I just showed him mine... and said that I would build one...

I still would... and still think that anyone that can, and wants to save a buck (or a hundred) , should...

That's all...

They are prettier... that's for sure..

but mine has 100% of the features and performance... at a fraction of the cost...

There's a fact...lol...

Cheers!
