Welcome to my world. I will do my best to keep up with any questions and am always happy to help. That said we all need to learn something new everyday so dont be afraid to be critical as long as youre constructive and decent about it.. It IS a work in progress and i smoke alot of oil so theres likely somethin i missed.
First a small bit about me. If u dont wanna read i dont blame ya. Just hop on down.
Im 23 and reside in oregon. I grew up around cannabis with my father religiously cultivating in socal for much of my childhood so its always been a factor in my life and was fortunate enough to see its benefits first hand watching my grandfather use it to ease his cancer. After learning he made 6 years past his expected departure using cannabis and its extracts i was sold. It was personal and I waged a war on cancer. I aspire to aid cancer research.. I wont go as far as to say cure it. As amazing as it would be i would be honored just to be considered for the frontlines of battle. I grow for the patient.. Always. I am a registered grower in the state of oregon and have been for 3 years now. I have worked a number of jobs from teaching self sufficiency and cannabis horticulture courses to the dreaded fast food and most in between atm i currently work pt at a local hydroponics retailer . I am well rounded and well educated and always eager to share and help in anyway possible so dont be afraid to ask. That said welcome to the show. Im a busy man but will do my best to keep the updates steady but ill need folks chiming in to remind me ( notification goes to my phone) so ill be forced to do it lol. Anyway enough bs onto the medicine.

I grow mainly indica and indica dom. Hybrids. I grow using subcools soil recipe slightly modified to my liking and a bit "cooler" of a mix overall. I am a huge fan and supporter of subcool and the awesome work he does.

As said i am mainly an indica guy but i cycke through the occasional sativa here and there. But as the mother list will reveal indica is where its at for me.
The mothers are:
bubba kush
chemdawg sister
snowdawg
mendo purps
super silver haze
white russian
sour deisel
sheba
space queen
romulan
jtr
u.k. Cheese
And two personal hybrids.. Higgins haze and purple wonder.
I am growing in my spare bedroom using a home made box for veg and the remainder of the room for flower.

Veg: consist of a box made by the gfs dad. It measures 4x8x7
Inside the mothers and smaller plants sit under a 4ft 8bulb t5 fixture and in the other 4x4 area the next to flower veg to size under a 600w dual arc bulb in a sunsystems sealed and aircooled hood.

Flower: its an odd setup but it works for me so dont bother pointing out that i should have the veg outside and flower in... Its intentional and wont change :-)
flower consist of 1magnum xxl6" hood and two of the smaller sealed beam.. Same as the one in veg. All aircooled all day.

C02: a 20lb tank controlled by a control wizard regulator and monitored by a c.a.p. Ppm4 keeping it around 1450-1500ppm all light on with the room being exhausted every 2 hours by a max fan 8.

Technique: i am a whore for lst. I love to train nice 3x3 bushes for flower. Top at the fifth node. Fim 2 weeks later and start tyin em down til theyre nice and round :-).

Nutes: im in of "those guys" in that i use advanceds sensi line. I am a big fan of age old for veg when im on a budget but if im in flower it doesnt touch my plants unless its the sensi lime.. Its not a vanity thing. The shit works and i get it at cost so i see no jeed to change. I have tried most the nutrients i can fathom as well as a few ud never expect (im experimenting using my bearded dragons multivitamin supplement on my flowering plants) but nothing compares for me.

Pots: smartpots. Theyre actually the off brand with the handles but any will do. No plastic allowed in this garden unless its the bucket holding water.
I guess that about sums it up. Im on a cellphone so i am uploading pics as fast as possible but it may take a few so be patient. I will go throuh and show each lady individually in a day or two but for tonight it will just be some quick shots of the garden. Pull up a chair it should be fun. Stay high :joint:

Monitor

regulator

ran c02lines to oscillating fans

The three space queen next in line to be flowered. About 6 weeks from now.

the moms:
ignore the two up front. Left town and they got the dry end of the deal.
Veg:

Flower: four cheddar worst and a stinky dawg.. They are rescue plants. One cheddarworst is about to come down. She is VERY cheese dominant. Huge calyxes fruity snunky smell. Only difference in smell is she has a bit of a cantelouoe undertone. Otherwise id think her and my cheese are one in the same.

Stinky dawg is on left. Not a great pic.

and the cheddarworst nearing cut:

Liking it man! Making a lot happen with very little. You're definitely in the swing of things too. Dial things down a bit more and you'll have a jungle in there.

so after spending a good majority of the week renovating the room and getting it where It sits now. I wake up to this article. http://m.examiner.com/exPortland/pm_73965/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=6IIMqhqG
bad news and rough seas ahead. So tune in as this will be sensis last grow if this bill passes. I refuse to pass the burden onto my patients and i can not afford another 800 a year on top of everything... Not legally anyway and sensi dont sell. So sadly this may be my last go about before i closedown the garden. Not all bad tho. I could afford to finish that bio chem degree. Cannabiss was all thats been keeping me here. If i stop ill finish my biochem degree and move to japan to start working on combatting cancer and alzheimers. Jellyfish be warned :-D

Hey mate, I'm subbed up to follow your new thread here. I wondered where you've been at too lol, good to see your still at it. And don't give up the fight cos of law changes either some of us have always had to do things the "underground" way, and we don't let it beat us ;-).
Stay ups!! :leaf::peace:

Thanks for hoppin in man. Glad to see ya. Unfortunately i have far too much to risk by going underground and wont do so. I wont stop lobbying and fighting for patients rights to safe access. Ever. Nor will i stop self medicating but i just cant do what theyre proposing. If it means fueling the blackmarket so be it. Thats whats gonna happen anyway.
By removing the low income factor theyve virtually eliminated 20-40% of participants who truly need their medicine.
Doubling the fee with the rising cost of seeing a doctor plus a $200 charge for non patient growers.. per patient.. And the rising cost of power. Between it all the cost of productin will rise to a point where my patients could afford reimbursements and it would be coming out of my pocket.. As nice as it would be to be able to pay for their medicine and healthcare i cant afford to do so. Then u factor in that there are an unfortunate amount of growers who seem to find it neccessarry to profit off of their patients by charging by the ounce... Their prices will go way up. As will the clubs they supply illegally with their excess. By the end of it all the blackmarket will not only be cheaper but less stressfull. And hell ill venture to say safer. Thats all in perspective of course. And ones definition of safe.. Id rather get mugged than be a prisoner of a war on flowers.
Im aware its just my opinion and many may not agree with it. But these are the times im in and the personal choice ls i will have to make. Im praying kitzhaber will see that those whom have appointed him to office need him now and he will veto this madness to the ground.. Time will tell.

Brutal morning. Woke up to discover the timer i had controlling my exhaust broke causing temps to climb to 115- 120. Awesome.. Im pissed. I have a bit of a temper as is but when it comes to my patients meds im very... Lets say volatile? Idk if thats even spell right.
So in my childish fit of rage i punch the. In wall heater and it falls out.. Ud think id have learned by this point yeah? Nah.
The heater falling just set me off more so i backhand my oscilating fan and away it goes. As expected it lands and utterly demolishes itself.. Ok.. So ive DEFINETLY learned now right.
Fuck no..
I decide todays not my day. I turn off c02 and kick on ac and fans and go to leave the room before i can break anything else.. Its almost comical to me at this point cause anything that could go wrong seemed to. Theres alot of small things im not including simply in interest of keeping this to two chapters lol.

Anyway. I walk out pissed and slam the door (as if it makes a statement... What a jackass right? Lol). As the dor slams shut i hear a loud ass pop.. The center panel of my door cracked to the point u can just peek into the room through the door. And the panda covering my window ripped away lol. I had the exhaust running and its rediculously oversized for the room as it is.. Turns out if u slam a door to a 9x11 sealed room while trying to pull 1.5k cfm out of it, the pressure change can destroy doors and panda doesnt stand a chance. On the brightside i acheived my daily goal to learn something new. And as a reward for my childish behavior i get to spend my day tomorrow spending money i dont have. But at least i can laugh at myself right? ....Right....? Haha.

Hey guys. Sorry ive been a busy man lately. I started a reptile rescue and it been kinda consuming my time lately.

I cut 2 of the cheddarworst last night. A little early for my taste a patient likes it this way. Ill get a few picks up in a bit. Nothin special maybe 2 oz a plant. Stinky shit tho.. Way stinky. First time ive put a carbon filter in the drying room lol.

Anyway i figured since they were my main focus of late i may as well share pictures yeah?
First is the california king snake - "arthur" was born august 7th 2010 he is 2' 3" and growing fast. He was found abandoned in the garage of a foreclosed home. The realtor had the heart to rehome it rather than kill it. When it showed it was immaciated, had mites, and was very skittish of people. Now it has tripled its weight, is mite free and travels to schools with me to educate our next generation of herpetologist and conservationist. Welcome home buddy!

next up is iggy. He is one of the few "purchased" reptiles in the house. He was a gift for the girlfriends bithday. Iggy is a ball or royal python. he was born on 4/20/11.. hes a very special snake :-D being 3 months old hes only about a foot long but has an amazingly social personality and is amusingly curious. To say hell be spoiled is an understatement.

The bearded dragons. Theyre both about 9 months old and rescues. The first is the biggest. He is beleived to have been a pet that got loose. At a meager 7 inches at the time and late january temperatures he didnt have much chance. He was found basking on a manhole cover in the middle of a road. Luckily a caring soul stopped and grabbed it and got it to the vet. I received the call from the vet about the incident and he has been here ever since.

The second is a more coastal breed of the same species giving him a more unique pattern and brighter coloring. he is the only other purchased pet and its only because petsmart had them on sale for 40 bucks and they didnt realize thT a typically 125-200 dollar lizard had made its way into the stock ( many wont show true color until a few sheds). F. U. petsmart lol.

the first is about 14 inches the second about a half inch and 25 grams shy but is definetly dominant.
And the last one i have the patience for atm. The jack dempsey. Neighbor wasnt caring for it so i offered to take it. It took some bugging him but he finally did the right thing and let it go to a loving home.

Sorry if ur not into all this. But its a big part of my life so ifbur squeamish of snakes and the like this probably isnt the thread for u. Ill post pics of all the other animals throughout the house later. Theres still a few pythons a couple boa some monitors skinks etc... And a few surprises. Lol. Geting jsck hamnah in this bitch.

Much the same to u brother. I am all about education and cinservation. Im no reen peace hippy lol. Though they play a critical role. But my hope is to see a world where people respect reptiles for what they are and the purpose they serve rather than killing them in mass. Kids are the most impressionable and they have a very forward honest way of veiwing the world. The message just seems to really hit home with them. Thanks for the love man. Plenty comin back at ya!
