New pics! These are my two best. All the new ones died from using 100% peat moss soil, but whatever. I planted 6 more germinated seeds in proper soil. Well see what happens.

The best two are from the original batch of seeds- the two from my original post.

Looking good, the lava lamp in certainly interesting, another good idea added to my list .. thanks!..

If your plants are still in the peat moss, I wouldn't recommend watering much more....

Keep up the good work!

PS: I agree some kind of reflector will do wonders...
I dont know how, but I completely missed your reply. My bad! Im working on getting a reflector, im just trying to do it the most fire safe way.

The plants that were in the peat moss dried out completely. I think the peat moss sucked the moisture out of the roots. And they died. Wont make that mistake again, but i planted 6 more germinated seeds in a proper mix of medium. :)

Mary looks heat stressed... But all in all good so far... =]

Where is your thermometer... Try to keep it in a place that is as close to the top of your pots as possible... =]

I love ghetto grows... =]

it beats seeing another, here is my hydro under a 1000w hid... JK... Good luck... =]

The thermo is RIGHT next to the plants, and it never goes about 82 degrees. It dips down to 75 with the door open, and usually stays around 80. The light is 2-3 inches away, as directed... should I move it farther away?

Humidity is usually around 20-30%

Looking good sorry to hear about the others, good thing you ditched the peat moss, I don't really like that stuff, because if your temp and hum gets a bit off the damn stuff seems to grow from the soil surrounding sprouts, eventually killing ... if I use a peat moss soil mix I will level off the top with straight soil..

Good luck with this batch!

New pics!

The new batch of seeds are all doing great! 7/7 sprouted (or are in the process of sprouting). Mary is looking STOUT, with LOTS of new growth. Jane is a bit odd, however. She seems to be reluctant to grow vertically- im not exactly sure why. Shes just bushing out along the soil. Several inches wide, barely an inch tall.

Heres the pics:

The new arrivals (who normally have more light, but i moved it to take the picture)

Counted 14, maybe 15 nodes on it now. Im going to turn the lights off for the first time for Mary only... at 4:00am tonight. Hopefully I'll know in a few days if shes a girl or not. :D

Heres a pic to see her size. Ive got 5 CFL's on her alone for flowering, varying in intensity from 2700k to one 6500k.

Little update...

Mary: Has gotten much bigger, and is showing new growth in many places. It appears I burnt her a little bit- the bottom leaves are discoloring and drying out, so Ive stopped nutrient supplement and have begun flushing. It looks better today than yesterday. No signs of sex yet- its been in 12/12 light for about a week now.

Jane: Still staying very low to the ground, not growing as quickly as mary did. I was thinking to myself... if the lights are too far away from a sprout, the sprout will stretch to reach more light. So I applied this theory to Jane, moving her lights up from 2-3" away to about a foot away. Hopefully she'll start growing vertically soon.

The babies: I cant seem to get it right with these things... they dry out so fast. I have to water multiple times a day to keep the soil wet, but then they start wilting from over watering. I started giving each plant about a tablespoon each watering, about twice a day. They seem to be doing better- I was just eyeballing it before. Lots of new growth and good color on them though. The stems are purple. :D

Gave away all the plants to a friend since Im leaving in a week, but I still have Mary. A little over a week into flowering. Can anyone confirm sex?

Well, plants are all gone. Time to go back to school... no more growing for a while. :(

Theyre in a good home though- and the now caretakes are gonna save me some. :)
