semi greenhouse....skylight grow with lights

im going to be starting 12 ladys in a shed. the walls are good and the top im going to take off and put that hard clear plastic roofing instead. the floor is dirt so im going to dig some big holes and fill with good fresh happy frog. going to paint walls white put in two 1000s use one for veg cuz im going to start them in 5 gal grow bags then plant to floor 3 weeks b4 12/12. its winter so maybe a heater, one open vent from the roof and a 6in vortex sucking to a can at the other end. what kind of ferts should i use. any ideas on the whole set up???

also how much should i have to run my lights??? few hours in the morning few at night in less its rainy

i'd set a timer for the total on period you'd like... 5 am to 9 pm or whatever... then put a light sensor between the timer and the lights (or relay) and then the light will only come on with the timer says it's on time AND when it's dark out

actually.. you may have to "hack" the light sensor so it doesn't pick up the lights themselves... so you may have to extend the sensor to outside or to above your lights

just a thought to keep you from having to monitor it yourself

you could even shade the sensor so if it got cloudy or rainy the lights would come on... but that would take trial and error

Dont you think the light coming from 2 1000w lights up through your clear roof would be a slight give away??

ya that sounds like a good idea for the lights and as for the light out the roof i dont think it will be to bad beings how it is tall and flatt plus its a medical grow. and im following there guide lines with this shed kinda.
