Selling pheno hunted clones

Cannabis and tobacco are apples and oranges in my opinion. Tobacco is a shitty brown leaf that looks, smells, and tastes like shit. Cannabis is the most beautiful plant in the world and has levels of desirable qualities that any given person may prefer over another person. Phillip Morris doesn't know dick about what makes cannabis attractive to smokers/consumers.

That's exactly what I was thinking. How many varieties of tobacco are there? And big tobacco will probably produce a lot of mid to low grade flower.

Good post, in my opinion, when weed gets legalized, Philip Morris will take over. Dispensary and private breeders and Growers will not be able to compete. How many people are still around growing their own tobacco?
If the chads haven't been able to take over what makes you think tobacco companies will? Large scale commercial ops will never hold a candle to true craft growers

One aspect of big tobacco you may not see is the big wallet..."hey mr.cali, we here at Phillip Morris would like to offer you $4M for the rights to your strains, sign here please." How many of us would take the offer? How many would say no, only to be burried by a scorched earth campaign by them anyway.
Personally im not worried, people grow tomatoes, or buy em...grow lettuce, or buy it, watermelons, pigs, ham, beef...the list is endless but there are still farmers, ranchers, pride, quality...no good ganja aint going away, im not worried

Yes I thought that too. Big tobacco won't have to build from the ground up, they'll just buy out everyone they can.

Sell them on strainly those pics look better than most of the stuff on there
Thanks. I think that might be the plan, but you need a "real" license to sell clones on Strainly. Actually I have a friend who wanted to put his real Texas oil money into expanding my operation recently. I just might have to take him up on that. To get a real license I'd have to rent a commercial space in one of two nearby cities. Where I live is in the unincorporated part of the county, don't think I can get a license here.

I agree and it won't be just tobacco but also, and is already i.e. constellation brands, the alcohol giants.

On another note, I see the MJ market panning out to be like the beer market. Over 50% of the market will be bought out/consolidated over 5 or so years but the rest of the market will be craft brews selling the best quality products.

Right on, I think that's probably a pretty realistic prediction.

They already have the infrastructure in place. It's just my opinion, not fact. I hope it doesn't go that way but with the big money involved in cannabis, big pockets will take over.

Thanks man! I do have the Runtz cut here ready to be pimped. I've pulled 6 males from the current pheno hunt so far, they're Banana Pebbles OG, Watermelon Wawa (WMZ x Face Off OG), Grape Juice OG, and Rocket Fuel. I'd like to start flowering males in their own tent before selecting for breeding. Even then, there's no guarantee which flavor traits they'll pass down until progeny testing is done.

There are tons of folks on Strainly who don’t have licenses that sell clones.

You need to have 3 feedback from other sellers which is their way of verifying you.

and you can just market your cuts as “pheno phactory” cut. Koolato - Pheno Phactory cut
I’ve been wanting to do this a little. Can’t figure out how to get three feedbacks though. I’d even send some seeds i made out for free to get three good ratings on there. Any ideas?

That is exactly how I plan to label the cuts. I was thinking I'd start selling a few seeds on there and slide the clone menu in later.

I think you have to buy something from other sellers and do the whole process through the website to get the feedback. So get some Seeds or pollen for the collection.
