Selfing (R1) Question

So I have a clone that I'm selfing and was wondering how much pollen do selfed plants produce? I know this is prob strain dependent but does it generally dump pollen like males do or is it more subtle and less visible? And does the selfed plant need to be isolated from other females? I'm not growing for production so if a little pollen got on the other females I really wouldn't care but I just don't want it to seed the whole crop up.

Not a lot but a lot of you take each grain into account.

Is this a Herm? Each nana or sac will produce a little enough for a small bud if your carefull and buy or make a good pollinating tool.

Enough for a few seed but nothing like a male, stand in front of some males and you get covered, stand in front of a Herm you probably won't notice.

Nah this is the last of a strain I'd like to preserve. I took a clone, vegged a while and sprayed it with Colloidal Silver solution 7 days straight before flip. It's a small plant and doesn't stretch much in veg. I'm hoping it will self. Just have too many projects going on and not enough room lol

Yes you will get a good amount of pollen.

You should get a good amount of pollen as you would with a male...if whole plant is showing pollen sacs.
It will pollinate all your other flowering plants...pollen can also stay on clothes and hands so wash up if you don't want to pollinate the others.

Good to know. Thanks.

You can get enough pollen to pollinate several plants from just a small clone that you reverse. I do it all the time. If you get a good reversal the plant will produce quite a bit of pollen. Sometimes though you can get a bunch of sterile pods and little viable pollen. This was just a 12 inch clone I reversed but it produced plenty of pollen for my purposes. Just as with males you will want to isolate and collect the pollen before it starts dumping.

Good luck.

Do you use Colloidal Silver or STS? When do you start spraying and how far into flower do male parts become visible? Thanks for the info and pic!

I've used CS I made myself in the past but once I found out about STS that's all I use anymore. Both methods will work though. In the past I've started spraying the day I switched to 12/12 but now I spray a few days before and then spray 2 - 3 more times about 5 days apart. Pollen sacs will start showing a couple weeks after switching to 12/12.
