Self watering fabric pot base

First off, sorry for the long post, and also, thank you for the help. So I picked up some AC infinity self watering fabric pot bases. I am running fox farm ocean forest and ff trio for nutes, 5 gal fabric pots. I'm wondering about how to feed the nutes. I currently mix mine with distilled water, in the gallon jug, then ph water, add to small watering can, and top feed slowly. If I wick these bases to use them as they are intended, how do i feed nutes without worrying about nute burn? Is it as simple as dumping the mix in the base, and once it's low, top it off with ph water? What about build up? Am I over thinking this?

My guess is that if you are going to use these, you will want to use it like a SIP and put only water in the base and use an organic soil that doesn't need additional nutes.

Put the water u mixed nutrients in into the reservoir, or whatever it is the self watering pots have. The ffof won’t need any added nutrients for a while though. Also i’d say that if u wanna top feed just let the reservoir go dry before u feed maybe?

At what point in hydro do you swap nutes out and use plain water? That’s basically what this contraption is. Suggesting it’s the same here.
I posted questions on here because I couldn't find much info on them honestly. My boss told me to check this site out. Clearly lots of assholes here. Gotta start somewhere though.
Sand. Straight sand. Hope this helps.

And like hydro I’m guessing it’s a continuous feed. Increase the EC as you go. No straight water. It’ll take forever to take up whatever is in the tray. Vermiculite probably another good choice.

Those would probably work better with coco than FFOF. But if you're going to water that way a capillary mat would be the way to go. Those contraptions look like they'll be more hassle than anything.

So far I've just been using them as bases, haven't wicked them at all. I chopped my first plant probably 3 weeks ago, and my 2nd one last Saturday. I'm new to growing. I'm on a pretty tight budget, so kind of working with what I have and learning as I go.

Vermiculite is cheap. Reusable. Coco is way cheap.
