Read, read, read and then read some more before you do any growing. It all depends on your skill set. Learn the basics. Are you growing indoors or outdoors.

Yes I have been reading alot and will definitely continue to learn I'm starting indoors 2×4 tent and 2 hlg 100 v2 3000k

I personally wouldn’t start off with an auto because they can be extremely picky plants. Photos give you some room for error, and the ability to fix them, and as a first time grower, there will be errors. Autos don’t require a light schedule change to trigger flowering, and this is probably the easiest part about growing them, leave the lights on and let them run. Obviously 24 hours of light is debatable, 20/4 is widely used also.

Fems are better not just because you don't have to deal with males but also because the genetics are usually better. Breeders pick two awesome females to make seeds with instead of one awesome female and a questionable male.
