I was wondering if anyone has had seeds seized and if so did anything come of it ? I have a friend thats friends with a prominent breeder in Cali and he attempted to send him 10 packs .. for whatever reason the usps seized the package , when my pal went to track it , it said in red " SEIZED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT" .. unfortunately the guy sent it addressed to his real name and address .. he is super sketcked .. I told him that I doubt its a problem .. but what the fuck do I know .. does anyone have any input or thouhhts ? Hes buggin so hard he asked me to post this .. any suggestions or encouraging thoughts ?????

I don't know man. I would def be sketched as hell. Hope everything turns out ok. I honestly don't know where the laws priorities are. You would think small time weed would be at the low end of the priorities. But, I honestly don't know.

I was just messin usually you get tape when you get it but seeds wont be in there most likely they will send you a letter stating that they have it seized and leave it with a warning and will be kept on file if happens another time idk

I don't know either. Never heard a story of a package intercepted from the US to another US location.
What is the atmosphere of the intended areas law enforcement on cannabis? I doubt federal agencies would want to spend limited resources on a small amount of seed...but they were found in the US postal system, and that is a federal thing. If I was your friend, I would not be growing jack shit for quite awhile. I would not even have any grow equipment. Yes, grow equipment can grow anything, but having that and a intercepted batch of seeds does not look good. It could also cause unneeded attention to the person who shipped them. Not much can happen to an overseas shipper, but being in the US that is different.

Yeah I thought about and if they didnt try to deliver it I think hes okay .. after all they were seeds .. doubt thyre gonna spend money testing them and the only way they can really determine if theyre herb seeds is to germ em , not gonna happen .. hes so freaked out he took EVERYTHING out the house - even rolling papers ... I personally have had a seed order snagged by customs and thats federal too like usps and nothing ever came from it ... I doubt theyre gonna investigate a small amount of seeds in my opinion ..

if he emptied the house of everything, he can sleep just fine. if he gets questioned he has to deny it! its illegal to ship shit but i dont think its illegal to recieve seeds. like he said, how do they know the seeds are thc seeds unless germed...

And if they tried to grow them, would they not also be breaking the law? At the very least it would be evidence tampering.

also consider this when checking the USPS database to find out "Where is my package"?

"According to the website Ars, a federal drug investigation reveals how the United States Postal Service’s (USPS) law enforcement unit can use IP logs on the postal tracking website to investigate crimes.

“The USPS database reflected that an individual using a computer or other device with IP address 75.67.6.214 accessed the USPS Track ‘n Confirm website to follow the progress of both the Florida Parcel and Bates Parcel #1,”Dowd wrote.

“What’s most bizarre about this, is the case was tipped off by an algorithm, a system that mines Track N’ Confirm user-data in order to detect suspicious activity, has triggered the investigation,”

and this

"According to FBI Agent James Spiropoulos, investigators accessed a Postal Service computer system that "incorporates a Mail Isolation Control and Tracking (MICT) program which photographs and captures a image of every mail piece that is processed."

but the reality of anything happening out of a simple seed seizure is very slim. The DOJ has bigger things to worry about than your seeds. But don't kid yourself that the information can't be entered in a database somewhere for use in the future.

“What’s most bizarre about this, is the case was tipped off by an algorithm, a system that mines Track N’ Confirm user-data in order to detect suspicious activity, has triggered the investigation,” ---so I guess the lesson here is not to log in and follow a package. Wait until enough time has passed to think it is lost before checking on it.

or use a VPN when checking.

Yep I was concerned about that myself because I have a usps app on my phone and used it to check it for him never thinking about the possibility of just seeds being in a small , basically weightless box .. I myself am concerned for that fact myself .. I honestly think that the DOJ has much much bigger things to worry about but im sure there is a record of it logged in a dsta base of some sort .. what gives me confidence that they aren't going to follow through with it as a investigation , is that they would have had 5 0 deliever it and searched ... what a damn shame that those amazing genetics went by the wasteside ... but better than my boy lose his freedom over some dumb shit ..
