seeds not sprouting

so i have about 8 seeds germinating in their own moist paper towel and its been 3 days now and only one of them have sprouted a root. is something wrong? also the only seed tht did sprout a root has een in soil now for 5 days and has yet to come up through the soil. is that a problem?

Patience, its not unusual for things to take longer than average. 3 days is average for germing seeds, longest for me was 7 days. After planting germed seeds i have had to wait 10 days for it to sprout. Wait a while, they normally get there in the end. Warmth is what is important to the babies at the mo, just not too much.

hey thanks, yea i had been so impatient b4 tht i dug around one of my plated seeds to check to see if ne thing had happend nd ended up ripping the root from the seed. lesson learned. thanks tho

also, while my seeds stil havnt broken the surface, should i giving them about 18 hrs of light and 6 hrs of dark or all dark until the break the surface. iv been doing the 18/6 but im just checking

They don't need any light until they break the surface. You can use light for warmth though.

should i be giving them just water, or should i be feeding them the water/ miricle grow feed mix tht i have?

no light untill sprouting and use only plain water (ph 6.5-7.0).
AND NO NUTES FOR THE FIRST 3 WEEKS..

more light son thats what it is bro.

yeh this is new to me too...i found out yesterday that you can have them in complete darkness until they break soil. I have about 6 in the dark now i did yesterday waiting to break soil...ill let you know how it goes for me

i planted 3 beaners 5 days ago n my first short rider auto just finally popped up today.. i was starting to think that it wouldnt.. am so happy now..

Also make sure you only keep it moist. Do not over water this causes the seed to swell and the H20 membrane in the seed to rott over the germination period. Slightly moist. Also I prefer to just plant the seeds directly into soil. You might consider doing it that way next time.

I just planted my first seed yesterday mourning after germing for almost 3 days and its been a day and shes alrdy out and getin taller.
