Seeds not germinating, past 24 hours

Hi,
A friend of mine got lowryder#2s feminized from worldwide-marijuana-seeds.com and used the paper towel method to germinate. On a plate, he put one layer of paper towel folded in half down, wet the paper towel, seeds, another paper towel folded in half, wet that and put a bowl over the plate to keep any light out. He used room temp water that had been sitting out for a couple of hours. Its been about 30 hours and there is no visible root coming out of any of the seeds. He's checked the paper towel and made sure its still moist and that seems to be fine.

Any suggestions or tips?

Thanks

try crushing one between your teeth, if it doesn't crunch easily it was viable possibly.
it will germinate tomorrow.

Be patient, young grasshopper! I've had seeds take weeks to pop, using basically the same method too. Like mentioned, just make sure the paper towels stay moist and don't dry out.

this morning 3 of the 6 had poped so the nervs have come down a bunch. it looks like the other 3 are about to pop so I'll give them a little more time.

thanks for the help

Having a similar problem had 100 percent germination with
my one strand... The horn somehow broke on one assuming its finished but here the problem... Moved the plants that one looks real good. The others like 5 are having difficulty... 2 look as though they have sprouted on the plug I see the leaves looks like they started growing up side down... The other ones look like they are growing just real slow... I'm not sure if moved some to early? When saw the root is when I moved them.... Also have some that are not germinating. One started this morning showing the roots going wait Before I move that... Then I have some that didn't do anything one.. Did the plastic bag method and paper towels... Put under my bed on box... If the paper towels are cold could that slow the process.. Need help

Try a warm dark place, or place the moist paper towel wrapped seeds in a big ziplock and inflate best you can. Have seen a seed germ a week later. Just gotta let them do their thing.
