SEEDS male or female?

Okaaay.. so you guys here are the experts and I thought I'd just ask a little advice..
I heard there were ways to sex the seeds before ever planting them... is this true?

I dont think it's very likely, but at the very least, I was hoping someone could share if anyone has noticed planting patterns with seeds becoming females..

nope no way just grow em out and see what ya get.

Fowering is the real way to tell, other wize ur taking guesses.

I'd say guess at it....you're 100% accurate that you'll be 50% correct........

seeds sex is predetermined before planting. ive heard of people getting better female/male ratio with more N in veg, more blue spectrum in veg, ect. i dont beleave in this though. i beleave sex is predetermined before you even germ.

Man could you see yourself throwing out a quality seed or pulling a plant based on that technique? (If it exists which I like you also doubt) I don't even pull my males until I see two sets of balls at least, even then it is a hard thing to do. Killed 3 beautiful plants in the last week or two, sucked real bad. But that was 3 of 7 that were males so I have 4 very nice females.

Edit: Geez chitsownsmoking almost 6K posts since Jan 2009! I wonder if that is the record for that time period.

This is why i had to ask... man! it hurt so bad... basically I grow enough to carry myself and another person... nothing more .. im not a seller.. anyway, at any given time i have about 16 seedlings growing.. and this time around.. i had to trash SO many plants....more than half... all males.. and i did the same.. i waited til those bastards had multiple sets of balls. SO dissapointing...

What's all this i hear about feminized seeds though? I know you can purchase feminized seeds... that's gotta be some bllsht there...

Yes yes, i see that... does that also mean that theres a 50% chance you'll be wrong 100% of the time?
