Hey everyone i have never used fluorescents tubes so i just want to make sure that im doing the right thing...

Where i work they were changing the lighting so they were throwing fluorescent tubes away so i took some home attached them to a wooden plank and hung it up they are:
28 w x 3 warm white i think not sure on Kelvin.:o

(The reason they are stretched is bcs i mounted the light 1 day after sprouting and its been bad weather so not much sunlight)

So, any advice/tips will be appreciated, im just looking to see if its all good and if i need more lights on it i can always put extra on

Hi. Flourescent tubes can do the job for vegging small plants. But you really want the cool (blue) ones, not the more red (warm) ones. Also, since the tubes are cool to the touch, you want the top of you plant within about an inch of the tube. When the plant gets a little bigger you can actually let it touch the tubes. Basically the key with flouro tubes is to keep the plant extremely close to it.
Happy growing & good luck.

you don't need to put your seedlings in a humid dome , that's a nother reason why they are streching to
