hi guys i have a problem with my seedlings. they sprouted fine its now day seven but i have seen barely any growth they still look the same as day 3. im am using a powergrower (waterfarm) i seasoned my hydroton by thoroughly rinsing it then soaked in flora nova bloom for a night then ran it with tap water for 2 weeks before putting seeds in. the lights are 600w and 400w the 400w is at about 20 inches from the seedling and the 600w is about 30 inches from the plants. i am watering with ph'd r/o water at about 5.8 ph is this too low for seedlings? i am running the powergrowers constantly are they getting too much water? temps in both rooms are sitting in the low 80's which is as low as i can get where i live. humidity is running at about 50%. i have fans circulating air. i feel like im doing everything right but they just are not growing can anyone help or should i just cut my losses and try new seeds.

i think at one stage i added r/o water at a ph of 5 thinking that this was near enough is that too acid did i maybe burn there little roots. please hep

Be patient. Seeds generally take a good while to get going, they just fart around being small and silly and then one day you'll start to notice them taking off.

Yes you have a major problem bro. That yellowing/ugly new growth is an indication of NO AIR TO THE ROOTS. Stop overwatering after germination, the water is drowning out the much needed O2.Start again its a learning process for everyone. Set up sounds good.

am i the only one that noticed he has a 600w light and a 400 watt light and he is giving that along with nutes to a seedling...............stop giving it nutes and get one cfl for every 5 seedlings or turn the 600w light off and back the 400watt way to much light

If that's yellowing yellowing and not just crazy light colours from the bulb, then as above :p there should be a help section where the stoned aren't welcome :D my apologies.

depending on how much area there is, it might just be stretching it's roots out before it starts growing the leafs out.

Lights sound a little too much and too close. You could get by tillt hey had a few more leaves with some cheap cfl bulbs. Sounds like you are just too eager to let them just do their thing. Keep it up, be more patient though

ok so i did a lot of research and everyone with waterfarms which are basically the same as the powergrower simply leaves theres running 24/7 however nearly all of them speak of the hydroton in the centre remaining fairly dry and even having to add extra water so it appears in my eagerness i have gone way overboard with my air pump as all my hydroton is soaked all the time. i decided that in my case despite what the waterfarm boys say to do i should kick back to 1/2 hr water with an hr dry and guess what guys im starting to see growth. i cant thank you all enough for your help
