Seedlings dead need help for next bacth

First time growing my seedlings died. I had them in rapid root plugs in humidity dome 75 degrees n about 90-93 humidity. I let plug soak in ro water for hour then squeeze out some water so it’s damp. Put a drop of clone x in it plug hole then dropped seed and covered hole. Everything was going good first week then after that seedlings stop growing n slowly turn light brown so I pulled them out to find out they was growing upside down the roots was sprouting out n seedlings was spiraling inside of plug. Any advice before I start my next batch n sorry for the long post

When they sprouted did you give light, punch holes in the dome so oxygen got in, remove the dome, keep them watered
Give a little bit more info, thx

Ro water can be a problem too you may want to at least add a little teeny bit of calmag and nutes or just maybe tap or spring water instead . Also you could be giving them too much light you’d be surprised how much they don’t need

That’s the problem. They stretched looking for light. It’s that simple. The minute they break ground you need light above them. Then a T8 flouro is better then nothing
So they need light once they pop out off she’ll or pop out off rapid rooter and how much light

No nutes, too young, fluorescent light about 6" above and punch holes in the dome if you leave it on, I would remove it.

to far gone has the right answer and although you used a humidity dome to keep the towel off of it. It should be cracked to let air in and removed once you dont need the towel anymore. Or you dont need the humidty dome at all but what you need to do is just spritz the top of the puck so it doesnt dry out and affect the seed. Like one spritz of a spray bottle as needed till seed pops then no spritz.

There is no humidity dome in nature. You use it when you use r/w and take cuts to keep the cut turgid till it gets roots going to survive on its own.

And yes you should/could charge the puck with about a 100 ppm veg nut solution when you soak it. I wouldnt go over the 100 ppm and if you dont have a ppm meter that is accurate then I wouldnt take a guess at it . A tiny amount of microbes added is a good thing as well in the soaking process nutes or no nutes

Reverse osmosis water is still bad for seedlings IMO you would be better off with something with something in it

Reverse osmosis water has literally nothing in it

I’m lost. So many different answers. I have no problem germinating the seeds. First problem I have why did they grow upside down second why did they die a little over a week when I did nothing different from when they were growing. My plan is to put them in rdwc once they get big enough I have two hps light that go from 600 -1150. Set up not finish yet51C9110D-19C9-4676-9067-1952B4BB7BA8.jpeg

once popped they do need light very little like a 25w cfl gow bulb 8-10 inches away. Not 600 watts 3 inches from the top of the plant.

There is a right way and a wrong way to help the seed when you place it in the hole. You have the pointy end and round end I forget which so google it I remember watching a video on it maybe go watch some videos about it and youll get the info.

My question to you is
What are rapid root plugs made of and when you soaked them in r/o water and shaked them off what happened?
on amazon the advert say this Rapid rooter plugs are fortified with general hydroponic micronutrients for abundant root growth

How is that fortifed what keeps the abundant nutes on the plug once you rinse it in r/o water.

Your pic of the seedlings look starved once it got going to me, either you didnt have light on it or no nutes.

Maybe just soak in the 100 ppm veg solution and no clone x cuz I dont like the idea of a full strenght clonex nute product touching my seed one drop or not.

Once you place seed and whatever leave it alone do not disturb sign is up.

Plenty of videos on the subject.

I like the set up looks all clean and new. Make sure you dont over grow the tent. Looks like a rig for some huge ass plants.

When I squeeze some of the water it was still damp. I soaked plug in a container. the excess water from squeezing the plug and soaking water I dumped in bottom of tray so if there were nutes in plug it still was in bottom of tray getting absorbed to plug. They didn’t get any light I kept in dark. Maybe that’s why they diedF9885CF3-4BAE-4B30-9517-85A14DC8825D.jpegF9885CF3-4BAE-4B30-9517-85A14DC8825D.jpeg

They died because you didn’t give them light when they sprouted. Plain and simple. Look how lanky they are. They sprouted and stretched looking for light that wasn’t there

I also see you have some DWC hydro buckets set up. I’d suggest a soil grow to start before you jump into hydro, considering your having trouble just getting past the first few days of its life

The only true only problem o had was the light I had wrong info was to told to keep dark. But I’m all in now no point of return. I plan on making another thread following my grow journey hopefully the riu community will guide me thru

What’s real low? Humidity in my tent is like 40. I have humidifier to bump it up if needed. They didn’t get constant water. I had about 1/4 inch of water in bottom tray n I wet plug a little when I seen it was getting dry
