Seedlings 3 weeks old, receiving 6 hours of direct sunlight a day on the roof

First time growing outdoors, wanna get as much sun as possible so the roof is where I put them

Seems to be doing okay as far as I can tell, a little heat stress but the rain helps cool them down in the evening

I don't water them, I let the rain do the job

What do you think?

I am in no way experienced, but it all seems like a horrible idea. Read up on some basics, there is the whole internet out there for you to explore.

Depending on where you are 6hrs direct sunlight can be too much for a young seedling.

Even in a cool climate a roof will absorb and radiate heat that can be too excessive for a seedling. Particularly if the soil is heated.

Rain can be both too much and not enough for a seedlings survival.

Pretty much all covered in the basics.

Od or light stress.... Flush or keep under tuned light.

Good luck. I'm only finishing my first grow now. I've messed up more times than I can count. But they are called "weed" for a reason and sometimes mistakes need to be made to work things out.

Those are tiny for 3 weeks old...........they look more like 3 days old.

When I say I made mistakes, I mean massive mistakes. I should have given up, but didn't.
Here are some pictures from April, June and now.
Some will finish a grow in a 6 months for a monster crop, I've got a few weeks to go.

I had heat issues, not enough nutrients, over/under watering, pest infestations, property inspections (delayed flowering) and nutrient deficiencies later on.

Don't be discouraged by anyone that says throw them out and start again. Especially if you're growing outdoors, there is next to no cost for you.

Just enjoy the experience, read some, read some more, ask questions and learn from any mistakes. Watering and soil nutrients were probably the hardest for me to grasp.

Yeah, idk how I stunted them

Direct sun light may be too much, but six hours of light is not enough. If you’re limited to six hours of light your plants will continue to be stunted and will likely not produce much. Most start the plants inside under very controlled environments that often involve 24 hours of low intensity light.

But I'm growing outside, 6 hours of sunlight is different than 6 hours of LED lights

Do a little research. Six hours of direct sunlight is not enough. These are hungry plants. I would predict in these conditions that she’ll grow slowly but not produce significant bud.

I’m not going to argue with you. Use google. It’s a real simple question to ask your search engine. I’ll help: how much direct sunlight to grow cannabis. You can cut and paste. Or continue as is and see for yourself. Again, I predict she’ll grow slowly and might produce some airy buds. But you need more direct light to get significant growth and bud development.

wait so you dont water your plants? and the only water they get is from rain? if it rains this much in your area your plants will get mold during flower lmfao prepare for budrot and other unpleasantries

It's currently in raining season rn, it should be fine by the time they flower which is when the sunny season starts

Seedlings intended for outdoor growing should be kept by a sunny window for the first week or two after emerging from the soil. When they have grown their second or third set of serrated leaves (after the the round cotyledons that initially emerge from the seed) seedlings are usually hardy enough to flourish in direct sunlight.
When to plant your cannabis seedlings outside?
If outdoor temperatures are suitable, seedlings may be acclimatised to direct sunlight by giving them progressively longer daily exposure to outdoor conditions.
Starting with about three hours outside, at the sunniest time of day, seedlings can be given an extra hour of outside exposure each day, so that within about two weeks they can be left outdoors permanently.

Dude, have fun. You’ve got a three week old seedling that looks three days old, as others have said. May be worth considering doing something differently. But good luck.
