Seedling With Root Rot..Have You Dealt With This Before?

So, my seedling ended up with root rot. I germinated in rockwool, which went fine, until being proactive about not over-watering i ended up letting it dry out, and the seedling did as well. So after this episode I had planted her rockwool and all in soil and got her in a humid environment (Thanks Mr.Natural), which did wonders she was back on track the next day.
After mixing up a batch of soil id felt id be a little happier with, one not so nute rich, i went to transplant her into it, the cube felt soaked, i begin to slowly pull away the rockwool from the seedling, after a good 10 mins of doing this really slowly i found the root, little less than an inch below the first set of leaves, a tiny section of the root had basically rotted away completely pretty much separating root from stem. using sterile thread scissors i removed the root away just above the rotted area, leaving only less than an inch of stem left.
As of now this is what she looks likeView attachment 1678847

Has anyone else dealt with this issue, did you save your seedling?

We taking bets on if shes going to survive or not?

Should i be germing another bean or just wait? (i dont know how well these things survive after losing the root at an early age, im sure one of you has a better idea)

I'm not familiar with your type of grow I like to keep it easy cheesy. I don't like putting a little seedling in a big o'pot:clap:

Sup man, yeah i kind of started out and through some issues previously overlooked i ended up changing my grow setup from DWC to soil during germination...which i did in a rockwool cube. Sprouted beautifully, but in trying not to over water i ended up letting the rockwool dry out..im a noob sir..and she got bad, then i ended up potting the cube and all in some moist soil and back into a ziplock bag...after she got healthy looking i ended up moving her into the box cube and all..which is why shes in a bigger pot, the cube would hold the roots for a good while longer before they broke out. Well i ended up getting root rot because the cube held to much water i think..its my fault 110%, but lesson learned. Just trying to save the lil one now, hard to find and matter on this subject so im just improvising, figured id ask around to see if anyone a little more seasoned at this than me has had to deal with the same things and how..never hurts to ask around

Plant a new bean and don't play surgeon with the rockwool next time. Might have been root rot, might have been just a dried out/dead root from the RW drying out and would have grown more, but I think the pooch has been screwed on this one.

There was only one root bro, it was rotten and just hanging on by the mush, just handling it less than delicately and it would of fallen right off itself, i merely removed it cleanly. But im pretty much with you i think the pooch is screwed, but never know she might surprise us all. we'll find out in a few days
