Seedling sprouted but hasn't opened up

Hi,
This is my first grow in about 10 years. So i feel like a newbie again. My auto seedlings have started sprouting after being germinated in a paper towel for 2 days (2 popped, 2 didn't yet) then directly into soil in final 5 gal. container. My white widow auto sprouted today but the leaves haven't opened up to get sunlight. I'm worried she's not going to survive. But i'm not sure what i did wrong. I could have underwatered as i read so much about overwatering, i may have overcompensated. I have attached pictures. Thanks in advance for any help i recieve.

could be too much air space around the tap root, or pH, or ppms/EC, or...

I start with coco pellets. Once they are wet they expand. Drop seed in, and ONLY use an eye dropper to feed until you get 2nd leaf set. These then go into 3" netpots until the tap root exits the bottom. THEN move to larger pot

Thanks for the reply PetFlora, but i thought with autoflowers that you're not supposed to transplant it due to the short vegetative cycle, so it doesn't have much time to recover from too much stress. It could definitely be ph as i thought that regular tap water with the chlorine dissipated out would be fine. Also i have the same set up for 4 seeds and the other one that came up seems okay. All the same things were used for that one as well

Give it 24 hours mate, have a little patience. Not all plants throw out their leaves in first 10min of coming out of the ground. takes a day maybe two.

I've had a lot of deformed and ugly babies but they always come out of it. Once I tried to pull the seed hull off and killed it. Now I just ignore them, they do better that way.

Once the seedling gets to be about 7 day's old, then transplant carefully into your 5 gal pot.
You really don't have too worry about PH now that much, just as long it's in the 6.0/7.0 range.
Later on in soil, keep your feed water at 6.0/6.5 (6.3 is perfect)
It's probably just a week/slow starter, so time will tell if it's a dud. Some seeds just suck, but at least you have 2 healthy ones.

Oh, one more thing, and that is I would say screw the paper towels (I don't like fucking with the root), just use some seed starter germinating mix as your top layer in your 5 gal pot, pop the seed in at no deeper than 1/4", keep moist (that's all it needs), and in 3 -4 day's you will have a plant, with no transplant risk.

My method is to use the SAME net pot throughout. Simply lift it out o the starter system and mve it to its new home

It should be fine. After another a day or two, the leaves will open up and another tiny leaf will appear between the 1st set of leave.
I use a hand spray bottle to give water mist to these baby plants so that I wouldn't loose them in the soil with flooded water.

I cannot tell by your picture if the membrane is still stuck on it or not?

I had this happen recently don’t worry just give it time.

When I have a situation like this I make sure to put a drop of water on the sprouted seed pod a couple times a day...sort of like a lubricant to help remove the membrane or seed shell...g/l
