seedling question

hello everyone,

I have a 13 day old lemon kush seedling. she's in a 0.3 gal airpot (the smallest variety)

.

i've never dealt with cannabis this compact and was curious on how should i train her? i was thinking of topping but there's barely no space between nodes. was thinking of LST but she's only 2 inches high. should i even bother training now?

and i've never fed her anything except tap water. was curious to when should i start feeding her? based on what i've researched, people start at 1/4 then work to full but my plant seems fine for the first 2 weeks. so should i start feeding when needed? i've seen people screw up seedlings early on when they feed so i'm iffy on that

Why do you want to train it and start cutting parts off of the plant?

i wanna limit the height. i did that a sativa strain and seemed to do well.
So this being your second grow, you have never just left the plants alone like mother nature intended then eh?

Is there a reason you want to limit it's height? Or just for shits and giggles?

What kind of light are you using, and whats the grow environment? Also, is your Lemon Kush a Sativa or Indica dominant?

If space is a concern, topping might be a good idea. If you plan on using a ScrOG or LST, topping might be a good idea. Shes still a bit small, and im still a bit overly cautious lol, so id probably wait for another two or three nodes to pop before topping. If she stays compact like that just get a pair of small sharp scissors like cuticle clippers, or any other type of precision scissor and you'll do fine.

*edit for feed question*

What soil are you using? Usually my plants do fine for the first few weeks, so I usually dont start any kind of feed until I notice their color starting to fade just slightly. If you wait too long your plant can start to look a bit iffy, but if you feed to early you stand the chance of burning your girl. And yea, I usually feed half strength the first time and see how she reacts then go to full strength if alls well from then on.

All new growers should instantly start with advanced grower techniques, its how us experienced growers keep the market share.

thank you for your very kind and inspiring words. well i wanted to limit the height because it's indoors, hence i cannot "just leave the plants alone like mother nature intended then eh?"

why are you so passive aggressive lol, do you have issues man? have i hurt you in some way? HAHA i seriously do hope i don't become like you when i get a little better at this.

i started with a 23w cool white cfl then moved it to a 155w LED. growing environment is in my bathroom, so its very humid. it's also indica dominant i believe since the leaves are kinda fat and it's so short.

the bottom leaves started to get discolored so i fed her 1/4 str of my nutes i have (lucas formula one, GH). i was just curious to see why people would feed 50% strength the first week then 25% the following week.

thank you for the kind advice unlike some experienced growers who keep the market share. lol

No problem brother. If you're up for it, I would definitely suggest topping and running a scrog or LST if you're going to finish under an LED lamp - the quality of a well made LED is great, but light penetration is still an issue. Having a flat top canopy, or lst'ing the plant to spread things out, will really help you get everything you can out of your setup in my opinion. If your girl is an indica build, then that should make things easier on you since she will grow shorter and fatter naturally.

As for nutrients, you dont need to feed half strength then quarter. What I was trying to say was my very first feeding on any of my plants is usually a half strength feeding. If the plant responds and shows no sign of burn or anything, then I move to full strength mixes and continue on a normal feed/water/feed/water/ect schedule from there.

And dont sweat the assholes on this forum. Occasionally even they have some helpful things to say ;) Im thinking they might have just missed naptime, or maybe you interrupted their soaps. lol.
