seedling light????

i only have one 400w sodium light but i have been reading some posts that suggest this is too strong for seedlings can anyone suggest a safe distance to hang this from my seedlings?

they are only about an inch and a half high

2-3 feet at least until the seedlings are well-rooted. Watch your temps too.
