Seedling light

My Gorilla zkittlez plants sprouted yesterday and it's barely sunny where I am so was wondering if a 1000w light on the lowest brightness about 4.5 feet away from the seedlings would be fine

What model 1000 watt light are you referring too? Are you speaking of an MH/HPS light or an LED? If led I am guessing it's not 1000 watts.

My mistake its 150w it's the marshydro ts1000 mistakes it for wattage
No worries bud. 4.5feet seems too far. I veg my plants at 300 watts and 30". If you see the plants stretching just lower them a bit at a time. I am going to tag in @HydroKid239 . I know he grows with Mars and Spider Farmer lights so he might be able to give you distances from practical experience with your model light.

Also I was just wondering if that would be too much light for a day old seedling as I read somewhere that too much light for a seedling is could damage it, just one of those paranoid stoned moments

LOL, got to protect your babies brother. I would think you are safe at that distance. Download the free app Lux Light Meter on your phone and it will tell you exactly how much light is hitting your plants. Than take a look at this site for info on levels at each stage of plant growth. https://growace.com/blog/why-is-par-rating-a-big-deal-for-indoor-grow-light-systems/#:~:text=So let's talk benchmarks and,or budding stage of plants.

I have been in veg for almost 10 weeks, I took my light from 18" to 22" to try and get a little stretch out of her branches before flip.

Thanks mate. That's a nice little setup you have there. I see theres only one plant under the light and struggling to decide if one ts1000 would be adequate enough for 6 plants. They should be fine till they are a reasonable height but when it comes towards flowering when they are getting bigger I don't think 1 will cut it, so do you think I should buy another ts1000 and sync the 2 or just buy 1 bigger light maybe with more wattage

Are you in a tent? If so how big? Do you have a price range you can spend on a light?

150W for 6 plants would be a little sketchy for me to even attempt. You would need more light to fully grow out 6 plants, unless you flip them around 16" in height. You wouldn't have much room for growth for each plant. (Assuming the space is no bigger than a 2x2) If in a 3x3, you may get away with it.. but the center of the tent would grow out a lot better than the perimeter. What size is the grow space?

At this current moment I have a bit of a DIY setup as in I have 2 wardrobes back to back against a wall with about 2x1m (LxW) space for the plants and a metal bar across the top to hold the light and tinfoil across every wall of the grow space. And I don't really have a price range just anything reasonable within my current growing situation

I will work on a better setup soon

For the first week after sprout, I neck my Mars TS1000 down to 75watt and hang at 18 inches. After that I power up and go to 24.
Auto Blue Berry Domina.
