If it was green it wasn’t the tap root.

It was white and very clearly all tap root.

The shell was perfectly intact under the soil when I rearranged it. Def tap root lol

I thought for sure it was not gonna survive or be a runt or something. Nope just beasting along she is

That's to funny, a plant coming in upside down. I have never seen this let along heard of it, But be as it may and ya I have had some sad looking plants and then all of a sudden it takes off and out grows all the others. As a matter of fact I have one wright now that a friend gave me that we both thought wouldn't make it but I transplanted it into better soil and know it growing like it's on steroids.

I have never heard of this either or seen it occur.

When you planted the taproo did you plant it downward?

Yes all 3 were planted downward like normal.

Really wish I had taken pics now, I didn't think it was unheard of, I just assumed it was something they did sometimes?

I have read other journals where guys had seeds pop upside down, so didn't think it was special. Also expected the plant to die. But she popped back up again. Then she couldn't open her leaves cause of membrane lol

She still has half a leaf covered in membrane that won't come off unless you cut half the leaf off lol.

She's a little freak this one lol

It's the plant on the right.

She took a day or two after resprouting to lose half the membrane, then she started growing and now day 12 is bigger than the other 2.

still had half leaf covered in membrane that won't come off.

Freak show I tell ya lol

They look good. Wish I was at that stage. My seeds just sprouted from the soil but no leaves yet.

I do not see the membrane on the plant in the right of the photo.

I'm at work right now.

I'll take a close up when I get home and show you .

From what I have read of seedlings with these issues, the life expectancy of this plant is prob in the negatives lol.

I only wanted 2 when I germinated 3, I wasn't overly upset when I assumed it would die. Now she's thriving, she's extra special lol

Hey here's the pics I promised

Not sure if leaves getting bigger, making membrane spot appear smaller or if she has shucked more of it herself.

I think it's still easy enough to see in the pic.

12 days since upside down sprout lol
11 days since repsprouting
