9/13 Guerilla Fume came up. Slow starters so far and some weak weird ones. A few had cotyledons that just shot straight up and didn't open. The membrane wasn't there but they still stayed together. Never seen that before.

Just soaked some Parvati from Real Seed Co. the other night. This one is going to be a fun crazy tall sativa. Fingers crossed they don't auto.

Next up after Parvati is:
- Kashmir Christmas (Kashmir #1 x '91 Christmas) testers from the the most recent pollen chuck.
- Stinky Unicorn from Bodhi.
- Ethiopian from Ace Seeds. Another landrace/heirloom sativa. Hoping to find some thc:cbd ratio plants to work with. Going to f2 these and maybe make some hash with the trim and test if possible.

Here's Big Sur Holy Weed #4, which is a really sweet plant. Nice big buds with great structure and branching. She's preggo here with some '91 Christmas pollen. Just took her down yesterday. Super strong smells of eucalyptus at first with some funk that's like a dusty body odor, is as best as I can do to describe it. Smell is very original and sticks to you for a long time.
BS4 preggo @72days 15.jpg

10 of 12 of the Parvati are up and bathing in the sun (flouro actually).

1 of 5 of the Kashmir 91X are up (renamed instead of Kashmir Christmas).

Going to revisit the Okie Ghani (Kandahar Afghan f2's) here soon and continue looking for improvements on the mom. About to do a side by side of the mom Kandahar Afghan next to a couple of her progeny. Plan is to keep the mom going for a couple years at least and look for improved plants.

Changed my mind on the Stinky Unicorn and thinking of starting the Kashmir Daydream instead to see how our Kashmir/chem-ish cross stacks up to Bodhi's Kashmir/chem-ish cross. These Kashmir plants are very unique with a loads of greasy resin and a satisfactory delicate smoke that's great for hash, but doesn't have any of the "hashy" notes like the '88g13HP does.

Another side project is to try to bring out a more resinous hash making plant with high CBD content and I'm thinking the Pineapple Thai crossed to the Kashmir might be a good place to start. Will wait on a few other high CBD strains to toss in the mix (Ethiopians and Charlotte's Web crosses) as well so it's a few months out still.

Working at getting a big greenhouse at the farm in the next couple months and that will really help speed stuff up. 2020 is going to be awesome.

We're now running 6 of our pollen chucks from the Afghan dad:
OK Afghani (f2s)
Trey Way (Black Triangle #3 x )
Dragon Af (Cosmis Serpent #10 x )
Buku Ghani (Too Buku #26 x )
Purple Monkey Ghani (Monkey Balls #6 x )
Monk Juice (BSHW #4 x )

So far, and it's still pretty early, it seems the Afghan is more dominant when crossed to the f1s opposed to other IBLs, which is kind of what we were expecting. The cross with Monkey Balls (deep chunk) is the one to watch for now (for me) because I want to see if the mom is more dom that dad. I've heard several breeders and pollen chuckers all say how deep chunk is so dominant in crosses so I'm trying to use it as a measuring stick. If we find super dom expressions from the IBLs, will it carry over if they're used in a f1? These are the things we're experimenting with now on these f1s. As of now, the Purple Monkey Ghani cross seems like a nice split between them. No dom smells or expressions we can see. Still early, but just some observations.

Goal is to bring super vigorous, high yielding, special new f1 plants to the local scene. So far, so good, as all of these have been extremely vigorous so far outpacing plants starting a month before.

A local grower is growing the Dragon Af now and has reported he only got 2 fems from 10 seeds and tossed the males. He's about 8 weeks into flower with a huge plant that looks more hybrid but has a strong Afghan influence. The smell is extremely strong and is passing through his carbon filter, which is a good thing in this case :)

This is about the male to female ratio that I was getting with SunShine DayDream. You were talking about having germination issues with older seeds, I better not hold onto these packs of SSDD for too long then. I think that they were already a couple of years old when I bought them. Don't worry, I'm not your competition lol. I'm just a backyard grower that got a earlier start than most Oklahoman's. I felt like I was rambling too much in the other thread, like I was all over the damn place. Anyways, it's cool to see the story behind some of the clones that I just bought from your store! Don't get offended if I still pop some seeds though lol. I have a couple packs of Dynasty and I'm new to the Professor. I got Pineapple Fields and StarDuster from them. Bodhi is cool, but most of his strains are on the heavy side.

Feel free to ramble on anywhere I'm okay with it. No one else but this board cares about what growers have to say anyhow lol.

You might as well pop those SSDD soon! I'm sure you'll get all females this time with the odds. Usually the way it works out.

No offense taken growing all that gear. Bodhi and Dynasty are probably in a small group of the best breeders out there right now. We'll be offering some Professor P gear in the next few months and we're always popping Bodhi gear.

I wasn't trying to talk bad about FoxFarm or anything and I wasn't trying to say that my compost is supreme lol. I just got lucky the first time that I composted(2015) I had 1 great harvest and I have been striving to get there again. It's like I got to see what a good organic grow should look like and I know that I haven't reached full potential yet, because my first compost set the standard. I haven't been happy with my results because I think that I set a high bar for me to achieve. I'm hoping that growing companion plants to compost with and to attract beneficial insects is the way to go. Spidermites passed through my outdoor garden 2x last summer, but I think that we had enough green lacewings to control the population. It helps that my wife is planting stuff focusing on green lacewings and ladybugs. The bugs are native to us, so we just have to make a home for them. Next, I need to make a greenhouse to keep the rain off and bud rot away.

One of my favorite seed packs was Dragon Fruit. It had a candy store pheno that was the most pleasant that I've come across. Prayer Tower indica had a nice mango taffy that produced well. I might be able to pull some of my old pics up on the bodhi thread? They were from like 2016 though, I don't know if the search bar would work? Anyways, I was hoping that I could find a pheno similar to dragon fruit in cosmic serpent. Cherry candy sounds right but w/o the cough drop. It still sounds good though, I bought a clone.

I'm curious to see what you think of the CS compared to your old Dragon Fruit. Ever run Love Triangle? They get a strawberry/cherry flavor on top of the OG notes that is one of my favorites. The Pinball Wizard #1 right now is putting off a candy store smell right now, almost done flowering and I can already tell it's going to be a terp monster. No SSH pepper smells, just straight candy.

No, but it's the most vigorous clone that I got from you lol... My wife is starting to complain about OG Kush and the only OG that she likes is Reserva Privada's Kandy Kush(OG Kush/TrainWreck). However, I find that most of the strain that work for my PTSD are OG Kush.

I've ran Silver Mnt and Dragon Fruit which were both SSH crosses, so I knew that Pinball Wizard was going to be on point. Silver Mnt had a pretty good yield with huge buds and they smelled like a pilot light went out. It was gassy, but more of a natural gas type of smell. Anyways, Bodhi's SSH crosses seem to have HUGE buds.

My wife was a lot more helpful on the insects than I am because she told me that companion plants can either attract the harmful bugs away from cannabis or they can attract beneficial insects like Green Lacewings and Ladybugs. I kept asking her what kind of plants do we need because I read that almost any pollinating plant with flowers would attract beneficials. So, I was looking at Crepe Myrtles. She brought it up in her class and everyone said that Myrtles were no good for beneficials. It turns out that the right insects mostly like the small flowers like on Yarrow and Dill. My cousin-in-law was telling me how caterpillars have been bad in his neighborhood and I think that wasps are their predator. My problem, I have to cut trees down to have any sunlight in my yard. I feel bad about clear cutting a portion of my 2 1/2 acres, but it's the only way.

This is the truth!!! I've had family members that acted like they were very interested in learning how to grow, but I show them a hard day of work and they don't show up next time. Everyone thinks that it is a "Get rich fast" type of scheme and are surprised when it's hard work. I'm sorry, but nobody is getting rich off of 4x flowering lights.

I'm thinking about going back to your store and getting 6 more clones. I have 12 earthboxes(Sub Irrigated Planters) and they have been impressive so far. I think that I will just get some foxfarm soil and 12 of your clones. I'm looking at FoxFarm's Lucky Dog K9 mix, it's supposed to be similar to ProMix but has added worm castings. Earthboxes don't have runoff water, so I gotta be careful not to use a mix that is too hot. The founder of GroKashi Alan Adkisson said that he uses an inert potting soil and top dresses with his 'kashi to make a mycelium layer and adds compost on top of it. He said that the roots will take what they want w/o dealing with toxicity issues. I think that this is big because I've been dealing with high sodium in my soil(malibu compost). However, I was mixing in Bu's to my soil and I should have just used it for a top dressing. My short time with earthboxes, it seems like there is something magical with them. The same soil that I have problems with will do pretty well in the earth box, it's like it gives you a wider margin of error.

Anyways, I think that we are getting ready to drive to town. I'm about to get a quote on K9 soil and see if I can get the most vigorous clones in your store.

Nice! I think the SSH itself is a huge yielder, as well as her cousin Jack Herer (I think it's silver haze & Jack Herer that are phenos both from NL5xHaze). Definitely want to hear what you think of the PW compared to the other SSH crosses. I'm a huge silver haze & Jack fan from the old school stuff I had in Amsterday 2001. Some of the best highs ever. SH had the super clear roller coaster fun high where as the Jack had a more hazey like high than just a straight sativa imo. You might want to check out our Jack and Jack crosses too. Everything the Jack has touched yields big.

We're all about growing companion plants as well. I like to use a few, especially tomatoes (as bait and food), peppers (for bug spray, bait, and to eat), rosemary (deterrent and can be used for spray and to eat, basil (for eating and bait), tobacco (for spray & bait - and it works as a trap for fungus gnats, killing them sometimes as they get stuck to the hairs on the leaves), dill (like you mentioned), and more.

We're in the process of germinated several of these at the shop to go along as freebies with the plants. Ask anyone at the shop and they'll give you some seeds from our collection if you want to germ them yourself at home. We have only non gmo, organic seed, mostly from rareseeds.com. - I used to live near them in California and had a habit buying seeds. Baker Creek is the bomb.

Bugs we use: lady buds, praying mantis, rover beetles (from build a soil), lacewings, and nemotodes. The local soil here can have bad nemotodes, so this one is a must if you're growing in the ground.

Lol, nothing comes easy. And farming certainly ain't easy!

Sounds good we'll be here! For vigorous, try the Jack crosses, the NL, the Dread Bread, the Blue Orca x RKS, and the Too Buku. We had a beginner grower come in yesterday and said he pulled 400g off of our Too Buku #26, which was more than the 3 other plants he harvested combined.

Funny you mentioned earthboxes. I had about 60 of them in California in my first home grow and loved them. If you search way back in my posts on here I have pictures of them. I taped pvc pipe up about 3-4' so I could water each with a hose quickly. Once I started flowering I would usually start watering from the top to avoid powdery mildew, which was bad up there in NorCal.

Lol, I now have everything that you mentioned. Yeah, I have 12 of your clones now so I should be able to represent your stuff here shortly. I had good luck with KNF, so I am going to use probiotics in my earthboxes with homemade grokashi(red wheat bran), EM1, FPJ and probably FPE but I might keep that outside because it smells like the elephants at the zoo x1000. I was starting to rock it pretty hard last year, but I think that I tracked spider mites from outdoor grow inside. I know to be more cautious this year. My outdoor garden was able to remediate itself, but my indoor wasn't set up for it. So, I will start with my indoor work and then go outdoor lol.

I heard that you met Bodhi himself a couple of times. I saw him on the Adam Dunn show, but Dunn was kind of being rude to him. Bodhi held his composure though. I was expecting Bodhi to look like Ghandi, but he looks more like Jack Black.

It seems that organics have not really made it popular in Oklahoma yet. I learned from people on here and it's mostly people from California that are into composting and living soil. It sucks because I didn't really have a mentor or someone to fall back on for advice when I was having problems. Anyways, Greasemonkey Mann helped a lot with composting and Hyroot had a good write up on probiotics that pointed me in the right direction. It looks like they are onto something because Alan Adkisson(Grokashi) is doing the same set-up with a mycelium mat for topdressings and EM1 in the reservoir. These pics are right before my last spider mite infestation hit. I haven't had a problem with them in like 3-4yrs, but whatever. I found that there is a JADAM V2 that I didn't know about and it covers pest management. There is supposed to be a citrus ferment that works well as a foliar spray.

This was Bodhi's Black Raspberry BTW. I had this cut for about 2yrs and it checked a lot of boxes for me. RIP... The earthboxes impressed me enough that I bought 10 more, but I still haven't had a chance to use them yet. That's why I got 12 clones off of you though. I have 12 open Earthboxes right now. I'm just waiting for your clones to root a little bit before I try to pull them out. I'm just giving them rain water for now and I might give them a week.

Okay awesome! You picked the right ones! Sounds like you have a great setup for them to thrive and I'm looking forward to watching them grow. I have zero experience with any grokashi stuff but it seems to make sense and a lot of folks seem to be enjoying it. I'll look into it more asap, meahwhile watching how your's do! Earthbox soil looks alive and ready. That plant responded quickly!

I've never met Bodhi before. Wish I had he would be a cool cat to talk to. After listening to him & reading his posts for so long I feel like I know him kind of. I saw that Adam Dunn show too. He kept interrupting Bodhi after about 4 seconds after every question. Pot Cast is much better and you can actually hear Bodhi. Have you listened to the Pot Cast before?

Never grew the black raspberry but it sounds pretty awesome. Looking forward to seeing these girls take off with you. I'm all about the rain water too. I don't harvest it now, but I did a few years ago living on a dry well and it's hard to compare to. Plants just love it.

Pics from 2016. They bring back memories... I've ran more stuff from Bodhi, but I didn't really document it that well. Oklahoma was still in the dark ages and I wasn't too courageous at the time. I posted a few pics, but it scared the shit out of me. I've been at it since 2011 though, and made the switch to organic late in 2015.
