Here's the Purple Monkey Ghani at 57 days flower. Rock hard nugs and a nice combo of smells between the Monkey Balls and the Kandahar Afghan dad. Like a skunky, dirty sock, chem funky smell.
7 out of 7 Grea Area beans have sprouted.
13 out of 13 Granny Skunks have sprouted up.
Switching up the schedule again, next up is:
King 91X (King's Banner XIII #8 x '91 Christmas)
Hawaiian x Columbian x Afghani from Bodhi.
Purple Monkey Ghani (going to pop all the rest of the seeds to make f2s sometime around 2021)
Thanks I appreciate it! I'm sure there will be some funk in the Grannys I've heard nothing but good things about it.That Ghani is a resin factory! Gorgeous. Oozing like that at 57 days, that is going to be amazing. Can't wait to see more of her. Your description makes me want to smell her myself. The nastier the better, I say!
I'm really enjoying your grows and I'm excited with your current lineup and what you have coming next. Those are all strains I would be thrilled to grow myself. I hope you just find a nasty rotten skunk in those Grannys.
Appreciate the update!
Thanks! The Parvati in the picture is actually a clone from the original seeded plant. And thanks, it's an adventure for us everyday with all the different genetics. Pretty cool to see all the variety.Wow, that Parvati is a sog-from-seed gal, huh? What attracted you guys to that strain? I'm still enjoying reading the hunts you're going through, so keep up the good work!
You guys still run Ace of Spades? My girl says that's one of her favs from the past. Don't think I've ever had it. I think I've only tried Sub's PlushBerry, Jillybean, and maybe Vortex.
I finally got through 3 Dread Bread phenos so far. They were all damn close to each other, could've almost been clones. I don't eat or drink Mango enough to know, I guess, but the smell I got on all 3 of mine were what I would describe as a really effervescent lemon lime, nutty on the end.
It ended up drying out very lemony, with a slight nutty end.
Is that what you would think of as Mango smelling?
Finally checked out your menu too- you guys have some nice looking selections, and very helpful info for patients! Have you heard if anyone up around Michigan runs any of your stuff? Seems like a few of them would be suitable for outside even.
Still flowering the Parvati. Pic was taken just a few days ago. Loooooooong way to go I imagine.Cool, thanks for the reply!
Have you finished the Parvati yet? If so, what'd you think? Sativa effect worth the crazy land race bloom time?
Bummer to hear about the AOS wanting to bolt, but thanks for the report. We're looking for a good sleepy time indica next, but I don't think we'll be looking as hard for the AOS. Got Bodhi's Pillow Book and Heavenly Hashplant en route for that hunt anyway, and looking forward to those. Got some Schwaggy P crosses too, for the Chem, Skunk, funk hunt. Definitely looking forward to those too!
It sounds like maybe the 3 DB phenos I've come across so far might be leaning more toward the OMG father's side, as they're definitely strong lemon smelling, with slight nuttiness, but nothing I would call rubber. I'll keep your descriptions in mind while hunting the rest of the pack though, and be looking for those Sativa leaning Colombian phenos.
Good luck on the rec vote, but hopefully it doesn't fuck things up if it does pass! Seems like things get more restricted and confused when rec rules pass in states after medical, so let's hope OK learns from previous states mistakes. It'd be cool if offerings of yours like that Vintage Pakistani were available up this way, but if not, I may just have to visit some kin down around Ponca, and check out the OK scene for myself...
Enjoy the day, and I'll hope for good spring weather for ya!
It looks like a couple just are not fit to grow indoors. However, the Jack Lights is impressive because of it's bulk and it has a decent smell too. Jack Lights, Dread Bread, and Love Triangle are probably going to stay indoor. Pineapple Thai and Too Buku have the best smell, but they grew into my lights too much and it's hard to keep them from burning. They will be great outdoor plants though and I do plan on growing them outdoor. I'm actually getting a decent yield out of Pineapple Thai too. My wife likes the way that Northern Lights/ Da Purps is looking, so we will probably keep it around too. I forgot about Vintage Pakistani, it def looks like it would thrive outside. It has huge bud structure that fills in fast. The problem indoor is that it grows into my lights and gets burned. It's cool, I just needed one run to see what I have. I'll take pics later tonight...@MustangStudFarm - how is the flower coming along?
Interesting to hear. Personally I've no problem growing any of those indoor. But I do think the VP expresses itself much better outdoor. Some folks have crushed the VP indoor though. It really seems to be dependent on your grow style is what we've found. But it didn't seem like you vegged many them too long. My lights in the tents are usually hovering around 6' and I don't let the plants canopy higher than about 3' before flipping in 18gal totes. That usually leaves a good 12" or so from the light in my setup without bending or training. But I'm running led in the tents. Your HIDs might be growing your plants faster. You might try another run with them all and veg them less or train them more.It looks like a couple just are not fit to grow indoors. It's probably my fault. I was trying to run 12 different strains along with new equipment like the Earthboxes and Gavita lights. Good news, I only plan on using Gavita during the middle of winter, so they are coming down in about 3 weeks. Gavitas just get too hot and my ceiling isn't high enough. The faster growing strains probably got too big too fast, but it was just perfect for Jack Lights. Anyways, I bet that if I grew them again that I would have better luck. I need to water later, so I'll take pics then. I'm not saying that anything was horrible or anything, but I def wasn't in the perfect conditions for each plant... I am saying that Jack Lights is one of the best yielding plants that I've had and I'm probably going to monocrop with it indoors and grow everything else outside. Actually, both of the Northern Lights crosses look promising for indoor. NL5 x DaPurps and Jack Lights inside...Interesting to hear. Personally I've no problem growing any of those indoor. Here's a pic of a Jack Light5 orphan in a 1gal I just threw in the flower tent with no veg (sog style) that's almost done. She's right at 63 days now. There's another grower running it that thinks he's going to get 3 pounds wet a plant on his scrog setup. Definitely is a yielder! It's probably my fault. Looks like you're going to have a very big yield for you and your wife to share! Wait until y'all taste the PT, it's pretty unique. It's your HPS lights that give that yellow color and make it harder to see. One trick is just turn off the hps for a minute and snap a few pics. Won't hurt anything. Also, I was apparently half-assing the KNF tech
I started flowering on March 15th, so they are close to 6 weeks in. I don't feel that these pics do justice...
JackLights5 These buds are stacked and there might be too much leaf in the way to really be able to see. The bud structure goes all the way up and down and it is firm, not squishy bud. They have 2 1/2-3 weeks to fill in still
Pineapple Thai- The buds are not big, but it looks to be a fast strain and it has the most pleasant smell of them all. My wife's favorite... Again, pics don't do it justice. There was all kinds of pretty orange color and sweet smells. This could be good for indoor if I set up a SCRoG next time(which I will). I'll def take some pics before I chop them and use better lighting.
