Seed sprouted now what

Hi. Fourth grow starting here. In the past I have just waited for the seed to sprout. Started in soil. I hang a led house light bulb about 3 inches from it untill it gets bigger then switch tho the grow light. Any other suggestions or methods that I could try. Can I start with the grow light right away ? Just sprouted yesterday. Thanks. Happy growing.

honestly boss man a very important part is knowing how much light your plants are getting. a handy little tool is a par meter but if its too expensive for you buy a lux meter(alot of people say they're a waste of money but i think they work) with a par/lux meter you can know how much light your plants are getting. a par meter is better but more expensive. i currently have a lux meter and i love it! its my favorite tool you could also download a lux / par meter for your phone but i tested them and with my phone they were not accurate
the lux meter i have is the dr.meter digital led lux meter and i love it! i know how much light my plants are getting at all times!

One of the best thing you can do is read a lot of information on and about growing here is one I use lots of good information here to be had also on this site to O yeah by the way welcome to Riu and the best luck to you with all of your endeavor

T5's for the first couple of weeks is the best way to go.

For seedlings I use the LED grow light on a low setting, around 24" above the seedling(s). I also put a clear plastic plant tray lid (with adjustable openings) over the seedlings to both keep humidity up and to help with the amount of light, if necessary.
