Seed rot

One of my seeds hasnt sprouted, took it out, should the root be really fuzzy? it's like 1/2 inch long and i thought it might be rot so gave it a light squeeze and it kinda, well, do what most fragile small things do when you squeeze them, it cracked and it's green on the inside, think if it isn't rot, i just killed one. Nvm, can take clones from the others but can someone verify if it's rot (sorry no pics) and if it helps the seed WASN'T squishy, and if it isn't rot, any chance it'll survive being a little... flattened? put it back in anyway

You killed it, the tap root is supposed to be white and fuzzy a lot like a huge pistil I find, you may look at the tap root, compliment the tap root, gently stroke the tap root with your pinky, but you can't crush the tap root. Did it make a squish sound? You really shouldn't even make skin contact with the tap root it's best to use tweezers.

i didnt squeeze the root, i squeezed the seed casing, and i used tweezers, does that change anything?
You just need more Patience put it back in the ground cover it up spray it a little and leave it alone it just may work.

Aye that's what I did :) and yeah i even told myself earlier to be patient and let them do their thing :/ ah well, lesson learned, but if it survives, no harm done ^^

Well, i guess that's how everyone does it. My second grow under a decent set up, but oh well, got others growing and was planning on taking clones anyway ^^
I have made so many Terrible mistakes, even diging up seeds to see if they are alive lol. This current grow, I had to dig up three seeds, 2 where dead and one was just hanging in there. There was a fraction of a tap root and cotyldon leaves, all under the dirt. So I took the poor baby (goose necked hard) and did my best to keep rootlet in dirt and cotyldon leafs above. Well here I am in week 5 and she is still alive. You can see her in photos. She is New York Special.
